Amanda Susan Dechert and Andrew Michael Guentner, both of Rock Island, were married at 4:30 p.m. May 21, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. The reception was held at Short Hills Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Ken and Susan Dechert, Rock Island. The groom is the son of Rick Guentner, San Jose, Ill.; and Bambi Guentner, Hollidaysburg, Pa.

Maid of honor was Sarah Hultquist. Best man was Austin Guentner.

Amanda graduated from Rock Island High School, Emory University in Atlanta and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, Chicago. She is employed as a resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan.

Andrew graduated from Rock Island High School and received a Bachelor of Science in accountancy and his Master of Science in accounting from Northern Illinois University. He is employed as a CPA with Grant Thornton, Detroit.

The couple's new address is Ann Arbor, Mich. The honeymoon destination was Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava and Berlin.
