Purchased a evga kit on the cheap the other week for my palit 2080ti OC

installed the kit, used thermal grizzly kryo and flashed with the XC bios,
temps are around 35-39 idle and can be up to 65/67 full load stress test or gaming if heavy gaming,

is this to be expected for the temps in a corsair crystal 680x? i know they arent bad temps, but the temps variate on every post i read,

    Wondering on your thoughts.
    Thanks

    Hi there

I would say yes temperatures are as expected in Corsair 680X, front panel on this case I assume is TG or glass

I spoken with friend who have EVGA RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Hybrid and his temperatures are very similar to yours there, idle in 30's and load in mid 60 to low 70's with power limit set at 130% and OC +70MHz on core and 700MHz on VRAM, he got too Corsair case 570X which doesn't have best airflow

I will do few tests probably end of the month with EVGA Hybrid AIO and RTX 2080Ti as friend got one and I have spare Enthoo Primo which I want to use and compare temperatures between the cases

What can influence temperatures is ambient temperature most, 120mm radiator just for dissipation of 300W is just not enough in most cases, but seen G12 mod with 120mm radiator too and with such setup guys reached great temperatures and good OC as well in 2100-2145MHz range

    @Geryboy

Pump speed on Hybrid AIO you can't control, pump running on Hybrid AIO in constant speed, fan speed don't think you can control as well I mean radiator fan not on actual cooler

If he can get same temperatures on air, really I would say is case and ambient dependent nothing more or nothing less, you can have best case or best coolers or even waterblock but once you have high ambient temperature...

I tested my Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix with air cooler just for fun on 8086k build which I'm doing, at the moment he have there NH-D15 as cooler and done tests with my Asus RTX 2080Ti Strix and temperatures have been in mid 60' to low 70's that's in 21-23°C in Enthoo Primo, then I swapped all this to EVOLV ATX and temperatures raised like on CPU and GPU by 6-8°C

Then during the night when temperatures dropped to 15-17°C I done tests and in EVOLV ATX temperatures have been same or similar to in Enthoo Primo, didn't done test in Enthoo Primo in lower ambient but I would assume temperatures would be better by 6-8°C

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

about 0-1600 rpm on the push pull fans on the rad, its a thin 120, as for pump speed, it simply doesnt tell you. the fans kick in after 35oc

yeah i mean it was 75-82 full load on the stock cooler in the glass 680x case a 360 ryujin rad in the front push pull into the case and two 120's in the top and bottom, its a drop, but i guess i was expecting miracles, but any degree is better than none, i feel its more to do with the vertical gpu and about 1-2 inch between that and the glass side.
    cheers pal.

I have the same kit on the founders edition card. Idles between 25-27 and under heavy load it gets up to 50-52. I don't have a heavy overclock but your temps seem a bit high to me. Where is the radiator located in the case?

Exhaust obviously, and you can't put a 360 in the top

I would switch one of your top fans to intake and mount the radiator to it. I have mine in the front mounted right behind a 200mm fan blowing air into it and then the stock fan pulling air through the other side.
And yes, if that front panel isn't mesh you're seriously restricting airflow. Try taking the front glass panel off and see what happens.

reset the fan curves for the whole case and it seems better now, peaking out at 55 idling at 30-35, High temps on the gpu are reckoned by the vertical gpu position and glass door im thinking, more than anything,
I disagree somewhat about the poor airflow mentioned in the review as temps and airflow seem just fine other than the vertical gpu.

the glass isnt flush to the front as insinuated in the review, theres a good inch or so gap between them and the glass, also intakes down the side of the glass too as seen in the image.
cpu temps go from 35-50 too with a 2700x hitting 4200mhz. depending on heavy load.

One thing i do wonder with the hybrid, seeing as there is no temp sensor on the vrm / memory and the fan is controlled by the gpu temps, the lower that is, due to water cooling on the aio, it obviously wont trigger the heatsink fan, till over 35*c,
wouldnt the cooler the gpu itself be kept mean the less cooling the mem heatsink gets due to not activating the fan under load?

The EVGA Hybrid kit is on my 'to buy' list for the summer. Reading your post guys make me consider going for a front panel air intake position for the GPU radiator of the AIO, instead of the back exhaust i planned earlier.

If you have the room, it makes a huge difference. I previously had it mounted on the top but the hoses became a real pain to deal with. Mounted right behind the big 200mm fan makes for some great cooling. Here's mine for reference

I'd have thought a more direct 120mm fan instead of the 200mm would be better, fronts not an option for me as have a 360 rad there anyway.

I have a MSI 2080TI with hybrid cooling and my temps are pretty similar with yours.

any comments on this scenario? I solved it with a custom fan curve but still. @jura11

Is this the EVGA 2080ti FTW3 hybrid kit? The description says it doesnt work on reference boards.I'm looking to swap to a hybrid cooler on my Black Edition, which is a reference board, but if you guys have been getting them to work, that's great news for me
