So, turns out I was able to find all of the first two chapters via e-mails that I sent to a friend a year or so ago, now I only have 5 pages of the third chapter to fix and I'll already be done with my quota!

Hiatus updates and hand copies of TSFHJ

As I mentioned before, now that Chapter 13 of The Search for Henry Jekyll is done, I'm now on hiatus to remake the lost pages for hand copies of the series. I already started working on these pages and the damages is definitely pretty bad. Many files that looked fine at first glance turned out to be either corrupted or missing layers and though some missing layers can be fixed fast, others were missing vital layers like the ink layer. Basically, I'd estimate about half of the pages from Chapter 1 to Chapter 7 are missing and need to be redone.

The hope, however is this- I plan to make hand copies where each copy contains 3 chapters at a time, so that way, I don't need to focus on fixing all of them at once. I want to fix the first three chapters for this, and then probably resume updating Chapter 14 afterwards (or bits and pieces in-between) that way, the hiatus won't be as long as I originally thought. I'll still continue fixing the rest after that, of course, but I just wanted to make sure go back and forth between the two.

And for those interested in the hand-copies, I still need to work with with this site a friend is helping me with, but like I said before: I plan to have each volume contain 3 chapters (with their own covers used in the webcomic version) and I want to sell it at around $20-30 per copy. This price is not set in stone, I still need to balance it with costs for making the books and shipping, etc, but that is at least the price I hope for.

So that's the big update for now! I'll make sure to keep you guys posted on any new news and what not. Oh, and another thing, though this is definitely not a requirement, I would very much appreciate any donations from those willing to, it'll definitely help with the costs to come! If you're interested in that, please send me an ask and I'll give you my paypal e-mail (sorry to keep it a secret but I have to keep cautious with my personal information).

Yeah, based on what most people have said (since I made sure to check comments on that post and what-not) I think I'll go with the second one. Though I potentially might make the others just as some extra art. At the very least, I think the third one makes a good composition for the back cover possibly. We'll see on that though. gabrielied Follow So with Chapter 13 of The Search for Henry Jekyll almost being complete, I'll be going on my first official hiatus to work on hand copies of The Search for Henry Jekyll to buy! (So basically it's a hiatus from work to work on something else, ah well.)One big thing I had in mind was having a new cover for these books and the images above are some quick ideas on it (as in for volume 1, keep in mind that I plan to have 3 chapters per volume). Here's my breakdown on all of these:This one is very similar to all the chapter covers that I have made so far. It would probably have that same border design, placement of the title, etc, the big difference is how much is going on in it. The big problem I've found with this one, however, is that I dunno if the format used in all the chapter covers works for this composition as well. Maybe I'll test more on this. Also I plan to use red vs. green for all of these, just figuring out the other colors to balance it out is a bit of a struggle. I'll fix that on all of these once I decide on a composition.I really love this one, mainly just because I like how simple but still defined all the background elements are. Smoke needs some work, especially with tangents but I can fix that later. What concerning though, is that, if I do go with this one, I'd like to keep it as a base for the next cover volumes. As in I want to have that base idea for every cover- same window, smoke, figure inside window- just different characters or placement of certain parts depending on the volume. And that's fine, but I wonder if this composition would be hard to do repetitively.I really like this one even if only conceptually. Ever simple, but still with a lot of power behind it. But like with the second one, I feel like this idea would be hard to repeat for every later cover, this one more so then the second idea. Of them this one's probably not the one I'd go with but I still wanted to include it since I like it.This one definitely has that sort of "cover" feel to it. It's not so artsy as some of the others but I still think it could be efficient. The big thing though is that I feel the title placement's awkward. I did play with it some and this is the best version I came up with but it still looks weird. Maybe that's cos I simply scribbled it in and it'll look better when made with some detail and effort.Anyway, though I won't be working on this just yet, I want to get your guys' thoughts on this. Which one do you think I should go with, etc?
