On April 23, 2018, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Bicycle Promotion Headquarters appointed entertainer Ami Inamura as a "Bicycle Ambassador" with the aim of spreading awareness of bicycle etiquette and the appeal of cycling to many people. On the same day, the appointment ceremony was held at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Tokyo, and she was presented with a letter of appointment by Keiichi Ishii, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (at the time), who also serves as the Director of the Bicycle Promotion Headquarters.

This "bicycle ambassador" is someone who promotes the appeal of bicycles, such as the lifestyle and fun of cycling, through websites, posters, appearances at bicycle-related events, etc., and encourages more people to use bicycles. Inamura was chosen as the "bicycle ambassador" because she is supported by a wide range of ages with her healthy and active image, such as the spectacular batting "divine swing" she showed in the commercial.

"I was thinking about taking up cycling as a hobby, so this offer came at just the right time.
"I'm often called the 'God Swing,' but in the future I want to be called the 'God Pedal,' and I want to spread the word about bicycles and give myself the image of bicycles," said Inamura, talking about his aspirations as a bicycle advisor. He also said that he himself has had the experience of encountering dangerous situations while riding a bicycle.

"When I do the 'God Swing', I swing as fast as I can, but when I'm riding my bike, I try not to go too fast and go slowly and safely. From now on, I'm aiming to become a 'God Pedal'!"
He made a strong declaration that he would be a role model for safe driving.

In addition, Mr. Inamura attended the "BICYCLE CITY EXPO 2018 - Bicycle Urban Development Expo - in Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall" (May 29th and 30th, 2018) as a "bicycle advisor." He participated in a talk show with Mr. Hideki Okuda, a promotion officer at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Bicycle Promotion Headquarters.

In the talk show, in addition to explaining the outline of the "Bicycle Promotion Plan" based on the "Bicycle Promotion Act" that came into force in May 2017, Inamura will also promote the fun and appeal of riding a bicycle with a smile. In the future, Inamura plans to appear as a "bicycle advisor" in various situations.
