Sarah Michelle Gellar is addressing the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot.

The 47-year-old actress addressed the status of the project, which was revealed in early February.

During a conversation, Sarah spoke about where things currently stand a month later regarding the show, in which she is set to reprise her role as Buffy Summers.

“We’ve set up our offices, which means things are progressing probably faster than I’d anticipated,” she explained to People, adding: “But it’s going to be a process, I think.”

“To do it the way it needs to be done, everyone has to be patient with all of us, because this isn’t something that [will just happen],” she went on to say.

The currently untitled project is nearing a pilot order at Hulu, and will reportedly focus on a new slayer, with Sarah appearing in a recurring role.

At an artificial intelligence summit in Paris last month, Vice President Jd Vance slammed the European Union for what he called “excessive regulation” around the advancement of artificial intelligence, adding that such regulation will hinder innovation in the tech industry.

His comments were music to the ears of tech giants like Google and OpenAI, who last week submitted formal proposals to the White House Office of Science and Technology (Ostp) regarding the U.S. AI Action Plan. Their suggestions, essentially: Regulation? Who needs that?

Specifically, both companies included sections in their proposals regarding copyright and argued that, when it comes to copyright laws, the government should apply the fair use doctrine to AI. OpenAI said doing so is “not only a matter of American competitiveness — it’s a matter of national security.” Google said it’s “essential for accelerating AI in science.”

9-1-1: Nashville has lassoed its leading man: Chris O’Donnell (NCIS: Los Angeles) is set to star in the highly anticipated spinoff, which will premiere on ABC during the 2025-26 broadcast season.

O’Donnell will play Captain Don Sharpe, “a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse with his beloved son,” according to the official character breakdown. “Don’s a devoted husband and family man but he has his secrets.”

Hosted by Mark L. Walberg, the dating series follows a group of couples at a crossroads — be it over financial or emotional security, past infidelity, or even sexual compatibility — as they are separated in a tropical paradise. After temporarily splitting up, the newly minted singles will move into a villa filled with potential matches who have zero hangups about creating relationship chaos. Through emotional challenges and next-level seduction, each partner will decide if their bond is meant to last or if it’s time to walk away — alone or with someone new.

NBC has picked up a single-camera comedy pilot based at a Native American community center, Variety has learned exclusively.

The untitled, single-camera comedy hails from writers Sierra Teller Ornelas, Jackie Keliiaa, and Bobby Wilson. All three are also executive producers, with Teller Ornelas set to serve as showrunner. Morgan Sackett will also executive produce. Universal Television, where both Teller Ornelas and Sackett are under overall deals, is the studio.

The official logline for the pilot states that it is “An ensemble comedy set at a Native community center in Oakland, Calif. The employees hustle to keep the lights on while lifting up those in need.

The March 10 episode of Raw live on Netflix ended in stunning fashion, with Roman Reigns making his first WWE appearance since Royal Rumble. The Vivienne’s publicist, Simon Jones, confirmed the news of their passing in an Instagram post in January. On Monday, The Vivienne’s family told BBC News that they died from cardiac arrest caused by the effects of taking ketamine.

In 2021, Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok invited audiences to the depths of hell with their thriller series Hellbound; with their new film Revelations, they’re diving into a darkness that’s much closer to home.

“Many of the live-action films I’ve worked on deal with surreal themes in fantasy worlds,” director Yeon told Netflix. “But this time, I ruled out fantasy elements as much as possible. I wanted to depict psychological elements that can be found in reality, such as illusions, delusions, and traumas.”

Since March 16, the “Looney Tunes” cartoon shorts series (1930-1969) has been pulled by the Warner Bros. Discovery streamer. The iconic Warner Bros. cartoon franchise has already been chipped away at by conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery after the corporate merger: “Looney Tunes” live-action hybrid film “Coyote vs. Acme” was scrapped by Wbd in 2023 before the film was set to start streaming on Max, taking a $30 million tax write-off instead. Wbd later announced that it had no plans to ever release the $70 million movie, and instead, the film was made available to be sold to another interested studio. The film was not picked up elsewhere. Wbd’s decision followed the similarly scrapped films “Batgirl” and animated feature “Scoob! Holiday Haunt.”

“Wednesday” Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2025, but it sounds like ideas are already being conjured up for episodes beyond that.
