@Daojoan for the last 30 years when I tell folks Iâm a graphic designer I get nods of recognition and approval. When I tell them Iâm an artist they look at me with a question on their lips, but unsaid: âand what do you do for money?â
@Daojoan besides all of the other critiques of capitalism, the Marxist economic materialist lens, the destruction of the environment, and accumulation of wealth in the hands of very few, one of the most important failings of our economic order is how is fails to promote beauty or human expression.
Unfortunately for some people anything that is difficult to measure is considered not to exist 
@FediThing Fundamentally, the economy and even the concept of currency have their foundations in concepts of punishment and guilt- if you commit crimes, you pay a fine, and the more money you have the less punishment you receive as a reflection of your greater morality and piety.

@Daojoan in the past - when civil-infrastructure were destroyed - it rebuild itself because there no replacement.
Now - AI is replacement to entire civil-infrastructure (include art and everything else).
