If you are looking to conduct research full-time on the foundations of AI, and
• you have read the RL textbook and done the exercises,
• you agree with the Alberta Plan for AI Research,
• you already have a PhD,
• you are open to spending some time in Edmonton,
then the Openmind Research Institute is looking for you and would be pleased to receive your application for a research fellowship.
These criteria are meant to be a high bar, and there are only a few positions; don't apply unless you meet all the criteria. Openmind doesn't pay industry salaries, but in compensation aims to conduct research that truly matters in the long run. Oh, and there is one other catch: all your research must be published in the open scientific literature.
