27 of the first 30 issues in total (missing no 15, 19 and 27) published 1991-2008 of the small-press sf/fantasy magazine: an attractively produced magazine on high quality paper. ''30 undated issues of changing size and frequency. Initially quarterly but twice yearly from 1993 and later irregular (occasionally missing a year out altogether); No 1- 23 were A5 size, then changing to a larger A4 size for no 23 - 30. From a wide variety of authors the most regular were Cherith Baldry, Alexander Glass, Lyn McConchie, Chris Paul, Brian Stableford and Sue Thomason, providing smooth and consistently readable fiction. Less frequent visitors included Neal Asher, Elizabeth Bear, Storm Constantine, Phillip Mann and Cherry Wilder. Art editor Deidre Counihan provided a graphic novel adaptation of Jane Gaskell's King's Daughter (1958) in issues no 3 - no 19. Elizabeth Counihan warned in no 2 (1991), ''I don't think we are likely to appeal to hard SF fans or radical feminists'', and maintained this middle-ground policy throughout'' [David Redd/Encyclopedia of SF, 3rd Edition).
