Okay sorry I'm trying to get caught up on Beyblade news. What's CX? What does it offer differently? Do we think this will trivialize older blades or just add further side grades to select from?
>>
>>11339774
Blades are split into two parts with a locking bolt, which fits with existing bits and ratchets. Can't really judge how it works right now, but it'll definitely allow for more gimmicky shit, which is cool with me.

Reminds me of that bull bey from burst. That one was also dangerous but only in the very beginning of the match. It's a shame burst had so much power creep so fast. The Japanese really can't do long term balance on anything.
>>
>>11339805
the thing that kind of scares me looking at dran brave are the assist blade plastic contact points. i know the beys will break after certain amount of usage because it's metal on metal but it just sucks when a dran buster or shark on LF or LR would swoop in and break it
>>
>>11340136
Yeah, I'll have to see how that goes, because even some of my existing parts are showing some rough impact marks on the plastic. You'd think that they might take that into consideration and use some more elastic plastic (not necessarily rubbery, but not so prone to the white cracks and dents) for the second ring, but they could also just say "fuck yo bey, buy a new one."
I'm really hoping the CX random packs are exclusively CX, at least the first one, just to have a replacement part or two for the box. The difference between BX and UX is technically negligible, but with three new pieces being added to the mix, nobody wants to come up shorthanded.
>>
>>11339805
>Blades are split into two parts with a locking bolt
The two parts are metal and plastic slotting into another plastic blade, right? What's that going to do other than make your skirt blade wear out faster?
>locking bolt made of plastic
How many bursts will it be before this thing gets so fucking loose it isn't even funny? Does it make it more or less burst prone (factory fresh)?

>>
>>11340187
I mean, that's all stuff that's really impossible to know without having it in-hand. If you assume they use garbage materials with poor tolerances, then yeah, it'll be a shit show, but why just assume that? Doomposting doesn't help anyone, especially when there's no reason to assume they're just going to push a product made to break. If anything, they'll probably find a way to make them too good and end up redefining the meta somehow, like they did with Wizard Rod.
>>
>>11340288
Just show up with your 3 beys with non-repeating parts and launcher and you're literally set. If you want to bring more, that's up to you, but even if you don't have any beys, or forget a piece, be friendly and hopefully people are willing to share for the day just to make sure everyone can play.

Im thankful for my locals cause despite being just about 20 ppl showing up, I've been blessed by the kindness of strangers and gotten cool stuff for free. Like this holder, dude gave it to me on my 2nd day haha

Considering getting into hobby. Basic bitch research says I should get a wizard rod 360b, a way to beat it, and one free option? How do I start? Would like at least one purple beyblade. Thanks
>>
>>11340366
>purple beyblade
Samurai Saber.
>>
>>11340366
there's tonnes of purple options with more on the way. samurai is one of the more notable ones though. also you don't HAVE to run rod tbzona.
>>
>>11340388
>>11340372
What can saber reliably beat in the meta?
>>
>>11340436
Not much. It's purple though.
>>
>>11340436
desu if you're using a bey exclusively for colours you kinda have to accept that some just won't be relevant meta-wise.
>>
>>11340366
Don't get too hung up on Rod, there are still other good ones that aren't so crutchworthy that can fit that same spot (but pick what you want, everything's good). As far as purple goes, you've got enough options to build a full purple deck, if you so choose:
-Shark Edge/Keel (comes as a standalone Hasbro pack)
-Wizard Arrow (only in a random pack, I think)
-Rhino Horn (only in a random pack)
-Viper Tail (only in a random pack)
-Shinobi Dagger (comes in two decent 2-packs)
-Shinobi Shadow (Hasbro pack coming soon™, you'll never use the bit)
-Ghost Circle (only in a random pack)
-Samurai Saber (comes with a cool launcher and a good bit)
-Perseus Dark (new CX line, up for preorder)
>>
>>11340366
Don't listen to people who tell you that the best Beyblade in the game is a crutch and that there are comparable options. "Advice" like that is worthless if you're interested in going to tournaments.
>>
>>11340456
Hence why I was asking. If theres a ton of purple blades, I figured at least one of them had to be at least better than mid. I'm not asking for a full purple deck like
>>11340466 is proposing
but if every single one of the ones he listed cannot find a way to take games from the top tiers reliably I'd be surprised.
>>
>>11340527
shark is pretty decent atm. it's definitely powercrept but it can still reliably burst beys. ghost also can work with 0-80 elevate, but it's a niche bey designed to evade.

Should I run Dran Buster on low flat or low rush?
>>
>>11340602
IIRC low rush has some wobbling issues, so I'd suggest low flat, especially considering buster is really unbalanced in weight.
>>
>>11340527
If all you want is meta picks to find out what the best parts are, why not just search it online? YouTube alone probably has dozens of videos concerning the meta. People find success with all sorts of shit, even Horn Rhino, adhering strictly to meta picks because the numbers are in your favor drains the fun out of the game and turns it into just another cash sink.
>>
What's good at KOing/bursting Cobalt Dragoon? My local meta is shifting toward it now that the Hasbro versions are coming in.
>>
>>11340692
I am knowledgeable about a few different games with competitive scenes. Sometimes the scene just has a centralizing aspect. You're never going to play pokemon VGC without protect, and youre almost certainly going to be facing Incineroar at some point in your career. It wasnt broken but it fit into the format extremely well. And not preparing for it is folly.

I've read through the last 4chan thread, some reddit threads and the beyblade forums, and everyone says wizard rod is the best. Every youtuber uses wizard rod as their test dummy for builds. If i'm going to spend money, I'd like at least part of my budget to go to efficiency, while the rest goes into expression. So I humbly asked people in this thread, what are some fun beyblades that come in purple that are reliable, or at the very least, have a specialized niche that I can exploit without getting outclassed by something that does the same thing but better.
>>
so question about burst priority. If our beys hit, and my Dran Buster ends up in the extreme zone and stops spinning, and the opponent's Wizard Rod is still spinning in center stage, for almost a second, but THEN the Wizard Rod falls apart because it had actually bursted but barely held it together, who gets the points?

Phoenix Wing, Tyranno Beat, Cobalt Dragoon, Wizard Rod, Silver Wolf are the top 5 in the game right now. You can pick any three in any combination and have a solid deck.
>while the rest goes into expression
For purple blades, Shark Edge and Samurai Saber are the best you can get for now, but Perseus Dark comes out at the end of next month, which is black and purple. You could just wait for that one, it's part of the new system going forward and will probably be decent.

Yes. The ratchets and bits still work on everything, only the blades change. CX blades will be customizable too, so a full CX Beyblade will be five total parts instead of three like now. All of the old stuff that's good right now will still be good.

>>11340170
>BX and UX is technically negligible
that's literally the reason why i got back into beyblade when my brother reintroduced me to it. i love how i can show show up with beyblades i like and get good results. they're not champion material but they still do play along with the big boys.

inspired by a bit of boredom and rewatching old conan o'brien clips (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fpYpmksscA) [Embed] I wanted to see how long I could get a handspun beyblade to go. just grabbing a few I had lying around my best times were ~17 seconds on a stock dran sword and ~14.5 seconds on a knife shinobi on LF. My biggest observation is at these lower speeds, flat bits do better than balls actually designed for stamina.

>My biggest observation is at these lower speeds, flat bits do better than balls actually designed for stamina.
I do this all the time and I haven't tried flats yet. Seems interesting. I don't have a time recorded because I do it on my desk, where the bey is liable to bump into something on its tour around my work space.

You would think that but I've sold kickstarters as buy 1 get the other to pay for the first 1 before. I don't do this for a living, more to offset costs of the hobby when there's a big happening. A brand new launch like CX is pretty notable so I was thinking of capitalizing on the fact it's cheaper in JP but you have to buy enough to offset the shipping costs to make it worth the effort.

It's severely baffling why you have such an obtuse way of looking at the sale of goods. If someone buys something they needed to front the capital for the items, pay any taxes, shipping and most importantly house said item for an indeterminate amount of time before it sells. If your business is aiming at selling the item for the same price you paid then you're not going to be in business for very much longer. People could've bought it back when it was plentiful and cheap, but they didn't. That means they pay what ever the value of the item is when they are ready to make that purchase. Their choice is to buy it while demand is high and supply low or don't and either wait for the situation to change or a different opportunity to come around.

Denigrating sellers while actively participating in consumerism is a big fat slice of irony for you.
>>
I'm trying to remember the name of a beyblade knockoff brand. It was unique because the tops had magnets at the top so the launchers could easily pick them up. The ring itself is unlikely to ever break, it's made out of pretty soft plastic, like softer than what the ratchets are made of. However, Silver Wolf has two other major failure points. The three gaps in the blade are the thinnest, weakest point and are prone to breaking right across the red lines. I don't know why they made the blade's contact points the section with the least metal.

The other is the screws on the bottom side. Silver Wolf is made differently than every other blade to make the ring possible, the metal sits up higher and the plastic part the ratchet attaches to is screwed into the blade's launcher hooks instead of being riveted onto the metal. The tubes holding the screws can just snap and break the plastic off, which is unfixable.

Silver Wolf is still a really strong blade and worth getting though. I love it, it's just fragile.

9-60 is too good to pass up, if you're not considering it for anything else in your deck. As for the bit, I'd lean towards Level, but it's also one of my favorite bits, so I've got my own bias.

Alrighty y'all I'm gonna spill the juices and I need you guys' help with deckbuilding

Bey 1: UnicornSting 3-60Taper. Simple anti-attack beyblade that has proven its worth immensely. If painted blades aren't allowed, I need to find a new blade that can fill a similar niche.

Bey 2: GolemRock 7-60Elevate. One half of the "Defense King Duo" as I've labelled it, is currently my favourite combo due to it's innate ability to destabilise and outspin almost anything stationary that isn't wizardrod hexa. Can also work as anti-attack in a pinch.

Bey 3: SilverWolf 9-60UNder-needle. The secondary of the "Defense King Duo", has proven itself immensely powerful at resisting attacks and can (sometimes) outspin rod.

Currently I have no explicitly aggressive beyblades, but I'm pretty confident in what I have.

Do you not understand that there's a finite amount of commodities on the market? They don't produce everything infinitely so everyone can have them; companies move on to new product. Which Gene Roddenberry reality are you living in? I'll tell ya, it ain't this one.
>>
after conjuring dark arts by crafting a 1-70 my main question is why this doesn't already exist, both parts have been on the market for like a year now surely some random booster coulda had it already, or shit at least the customize set it already had a 1 ratchet anyway
>>
>>11345970
It looks better for investors to be sold out than it does to have consistent sales. This is why Hasbro puts so much shit people want on Pulse instead of normal retail. They would rather sell out of a limited amount than have stock "sitting around," and this leads to shortage issues.
It's limited for a reason, and resellers would happily throw more fuel on that fire if it means they can make $10 flipping a toy.
>>
>>11345870
on low ratchets and thats not a 2 and any bit that has enough stamina like rush, taper, etc. tyrano can kick rod out into the pockets when it's slowed down a little. ideally you wouldnt to lose stamina on the rails. though i should have said semi-consistently because obviously its not 100%
>>
>>11344939
Honestly, they we're a month off regarding Beyblade day. Though then again, seriously wonder how many people actually got this and how long Hasbro is going to continue to fund this.

NTA but is Tyrano considered a OHKO bey? I run 2 defensive staminas(WR9-60H and SW3-70B) and I kind of want a reliable attacker to sweep so I go with Shark Edge 2-60LF but I keep on seeing posts that Tyranno and Impact Drake have excellent recoil. Do you have any opinion on which bey should I go with(minus Dran Buster, fuck that bey)?
>>
>>11346433
Tyranno Beat is much better than Impact Drake. ID's recoil works against itself a lot, but TB is really good at KOing both Rod and Wolf. TB is also better into Cobalt Dragoon than something like Phoenix Wing is, it has a lot of good matchups.
>>
>>11346489
copy, throwing my 1-60 and rush to that funny jumping dinosaur, I already have Tyranno but never really considered it because I personally like sharks more than I like dinosaurs... Shark Edge kind of feel like a gamble when acting as my attacker
>>
>>11346508
>because I personally like sharks more than I like dinosaurs
I get it, and shark edge's design is great. I kind of want hasbro to release a red dranbuster with a triceratops theme so I can have a full dinosaur team. Though running two rexes (Beat and Roar), sounds fun, too.
>>
>>11346569
>full dinosaur team
now I want my pupper team... I already have Silver Wolf and the leaked CX is a Fox, now I just need a jackal or dog
>>
>>11346569

I've always wanted to organize a theme deck tournament in my area, but there aren't enough similar concepts for it to work. Some themes don't have a third Bey, or one that doesn't really match. Like
>Tyranno Beat / Tyranno Roar / Ptera Talon
>Leon Claw / Leon Crest / Weiss Tiger
>Whale Wave / Shark Edge / Draciel S?
Most decks would just end up being the full Phoenix, Knight, or Dran lines anyway.
>>
>>11346601
The prehistoric one still has Tusk Mammoth, and Weiss Tiger also goes with Crimson Garuda, Cobalt Drake, Obsidian Shell, and Shelter Drake.

Free Ball is free-spinning in the ratchet, while normal Ball sticks if you try to twist it.
>>

461 KB
461 KB JPG
>>11347406
Free Ball has a more narrow tip and doesn't have the gears on the neck. The scooped-out portion is what lets it spin in the ratchet.
>>
>Tyrano Beat 9-70 Hexa
>Tyrano Roar 9-60 Accel/Rush
>Tusk Mammoth ?-?? ?
I'm going with what >>11346700 said because putting the purple mammoth between the red and blue tyranos makes the brain happy. Not sure what combo to use with it, though. Also to >>11345612 how hard is that? I have a phoenix wing that I can swipe the 9 off of, but I don't know how difficult it is to swap ratchet parts.
>>
>>11347492
Tusk Mammoth is just a clone of Hell's Chain, so anything comparable should work. I use 5-60T on mine, but I also like O as well, and the purple Tail Viper 5-60D has a really nice looking ratchet to match the stock purple bits.
>>
>>11347511
actually, mammoth has two main factors that change its performance:
1: it has a gigantic weight imbalancer like knightshield has
2: it's slightly more rounded than scythe is.

>>
>>11347549
Oh, I'm completely wrong, then; I thought it was a Chain clone, not Scythe. That's pretty cool, I'd be down for some more extensive retools that actually change the shape instead of just the detailing (like the Hasbro IP clones).
>>
>>11347492
Though I'm not as good as my Tusk Mammoth deserves, I still struggle with defensive positioning, I swear by my 3-80 Spike combo. I gorilla launch it tilted so the attacking bey has to deal with the blade. Spike is a monster at tilting, I've seen it reach some insane angles in battle, like almost resting on the floor low.
>>
>>11347430
how's its performance over balls? I imagine it doesn't catch on the extremeline as much and bursts more often, but it probably tilts better.
>>
I wonder if hasbro will release all the plastic gen remake beys together after the 25th set comes out, since the only one released so far is the Dranzer S recolors, if they were doing normal released Driger S would be out by now. Dranzer S could also have it's original color in this hypothetical set.
>>
>>11347896
It'd be smart for marketing if they did. They've been having issues marketing to the older audience (it's apparently a target they're aiming at in their latest financial report shit), and if you can hook someone with four beys in one box, and maybe a stadium to go with em, they'll be more likely to buy more shit afterwards. Worst case scenario, they already bought expensive nostalgia bait that they can still enjoy as a standalone box.
>>
>>11348303
Honestly if they released the four BSB x-overs in a custom stadium I'd buy it specifically because I'm being nostalgia baited. And since they're all generally the same weight, they can battle against each other without issues.
>>
>>11348303
>They've been having issues marketing to the older audience
Making both the remake Beys and the homage ones unplayble doesn't help. Having a full Bladebreakers deck would be great, but you'll probably never win a match with it. You have no idea how much I wish Driger S was on par with Phoenix Wing.
>>
>>11348341
>Making both the remake Beys and the homage ones unplayble doesn't help.
anon I don't know how to tell you this but the vast majority of people that buy things out of nostalgia don't care how competitively viable they are
just look at pokemon TCG, while most adults buying those cards are just scumbag scalpers, and some are competitive whales, there is a notable subsection that just wants the 151 they grew up on. Nobody cares that Charizard is almost universally unplayable across all printings, they just like the cool dragon.
>>
>>11348341
I hope that they actually give a second pass for plastic gen with the new CX stuff, but I feel like they'll just get the main beys out of the way before they move onto the MF/Burst lines. It's not like it wouldn't work for plastic, and I'd give my left nut for a new Draciel V2, but the newer gens lend themselves a lot more to the CX format, so it'd be way less work to make a good translation.
>>
>>11348387
At the very least we are getting the gt versions of dragoon and dranzer down the line since they were top 10 in the poll.
>>
which one is better off using hexa, wizzy rod or silver wolf?
>>
>>11348764
Silver Wolf. All of its tournament data is pretty evenly split between Free Ball and Hexa.
>>
>>11348774
would it be wise to use wizzy on ball and wolfy on free ball on the same team or slap hexa on wolfy?
>>
>>11348789
Whichever you prefer. Free Ball gives Wolf a chance against other Wizard Rods, but it usually loses on Hexa. Decide if you want a Stamina Wolf or a Defense Wolf.

>>
>>11348844
I've heard they're cheaper quality than legit ones, so expect weak points and flashing that could remove your fingertip, but it's something you might already expect if you're buying cheap bootlegs. It doesn't seem to be a bad way to get Cobalt Dragoon or a limited coat variant without breaking the bank.
>>

>>
>>11348894

metal fight? if that shit says like rapidity or similar on it then yeah probably not safe, but if it's just a blurrier image of the box then probably safer than usual.
but for X? most of them are actually quite dangerous, sadly. but if you're skeptical, just get some lead testing kits.

Those are made using original specifications, so they're fine. People treat them like bootlegs, but when they use the same materials and the same blueprints without the original label, what's the difference? Not being hyperbolic or anything, it's the same thing with an open license, so the only major differences should be stuff that'd also come up between different production runs of first-party models.

So on the topic of midfakes, I got into Beyblade last year and bought Metal Fury ones kinda just assuming theyd be used lot ones or originals resold in dollar baggies or such, not straight up recreations.
I don't mind, but is there a specific way to know a 'real' one? The Basalt Horogium I got came in an actual box I think I still have somewhere, does that mean anything?
>>
>>11350244
A lot of midfakes come with boxes, so that doesn’t mean anything. One thing to check is a code inside of the facebolt. Midfakes often have codes on most of the parts, but lack one on the inside of the facebolt. Besides that, you would have to check the details. Some midfakes weigh a lot more than the original part, some have certain details you’d have to look at to discern, and if you check the box, the code on the bottom won’t match the range of release dates. Some parts don’t have a midfake yet, like PHW Virgo so those are safe.

Twitter is bad in its own kind of way, but really, social media is the problem. It's gamified the idea of having an opinion, so everyone's given up on having their own opinion in favor of sharing the opinion that's going to get the most positive reaction online. Whether that's to be popular, to not be hassled, or whatever reason they might have, it doesn't matter either way, it's stifled free thought in a way the government could never hope to.

The boxes are pretty nice. This is a Samurai Pegasis midfake I got, apparently one way you can tell is the code on the box, above the barcode. For this box, it's F2710, and it does stand for something. F is the month, where it goes alphabetically, 27 is the day, 10 is the year. Samurai Pegasis was released in 2012 in Japan, so you can tell off the bat it's not a real one. Some dates are closer to the real one so you might have to check online if you really care about getting a genuine product, but midfakes are for the most part perfectly fine to play with. It's mainly just some parts can perform worse, typically the rubber parts.

Same. But every target I go to has wave 1 and 2. No Walmart made it past wave 1.
>>
>>
>>11356598
is it bad or somthing?
>>
>>11356584
It's weird, the Walmart near my hometown has had the launch lineup every time I stop in, but just yesterday, they had four Sphinx Cowl boosters. Literally nothing else past wave 1 besides that.
>>
>>11356620
Quite the opposite, if I'm not mistaken. Cobalt on Elevate is kind of busted. Not WizRod level but a solid choice.
>>
>>11356705
NTA, give recommendations of a wizard rod threat level attack bey/attack leaning combo that isn't phoenix because the owner looks like a fag.
>>
>>11356763
I'd say Aero Pegasus, but I want you to not pay hundreds for a bey. Probably Tyrano Beat or Shark Edge. Both hit like trucks, and Shark Edge can run with the stock and do fine.
>>
>>11356763
Tyranno Roar is pretty much just slightly-worse Phoenix with a cool dinosaur on it, if you're that dead-set.
>>
I wonder if CX Beys being taller will either make them suck, or force everything else to use 70 and 80 heights. I don't like the idea of everything new coming out being top-heavy like Silver Wolf.
>>
>Takara keeps hasbro on a tight leash to maintain equivalent quality between their releases

We can't fucking win man, should not have trusted these bitches again.
>>
>>11357269
They're selling for investors, not customers. If you're constantly sold out, you're constantly winning, and if you end up sending dozens of boxes to clearance (like Bakugan is currently doing), you're a disgusting failure with no place in this business. I mean, what other toy line do they struggle with? The issue can't be anything further than them just not making the effort, they have millions of dollars to work with.
>>
>>11357269
The distribution is so fucking weird. First, Target was getting everything first, mostly. Somehow, I found one of Buster and Rod at Walmart despite them selling only wave 1 for pretty much the entire rest of the time, and Gamestop randomly had Sphinx and purple Arrow.
>>
>>11357269
>>11357395
What kills me is knowing that if Hasbro got their shit together and actually tried to bridge the gap, everything would be half price compared to buying the TT versions online. Take Dragoon for instance. $25 for Dragoon + 35 for either Whale or Leon to get Elevate. Compare that to a $20 Dragoon and $8 Whale from Hasbro.

And neither name really makes sense, considering the previous naming convention. Wizard has Arrow, Rod, and Arc, which all work for spell shit, and Hell's has Chain, Scythe, Hammer, and Reaper, which are all suitable, but then Dran has Dagger, Sword, Buster...and Brave. It's not a weapon of any sort, even if it does sound cool.

It kind of looks like a domed bottom, as opposed to the straight edges taper has, but idk how exactly that could affect the performance. Maybe it has some circular motion for sharp circles in the interior, but the curvature of the bottom keeps it from completely taking off when it tilts? The K could be for something like Kilter, for maintaining its balance rather than prioritizing attack.
I've got a weird suspicion that it'll end up being a C word spelled with a K to sound cooler, though haha
>>
>>11359612

How bad Hells Reaper be?
>>
>>11359575
Dran uses the generic fantasy scheme. "Brave" used in Japanese is used for heroic characters or literally "brave person". Also rod is typical magic item. You can such rods in Zelda games. Courage Dragon is just beyond fucking retard as a name
>>
>>11359775
>>11359536
>>11359532
nobody's stopping you guys from still calling it dran brave. everytime i check WBO people still refer everything to their takara tomy name. i know some localization are dumb, i also experienced it on a game where the korean girl's name is Seul Bi but localization made it Sylvi. like nobody really cares if you refer to her as Seul or Sylvi, we literally just call her whatever we chose to.
>>
>>11359666
The only Hells blade that has been bad, but not even actually bad, is Hammer and it's more that it's outclassed by everything with a similar shape. Scythe is mildly worse than Rod and Chain has a niche in defense.
Reaper reminds me even more of Wing Cross, and that thing was prominent in an entire meta for the entire duration of bakuten.

No, Dran uses a bladed weapon naming scheme. Dagger, sword, and buster [sword]. If you wanna add in a new one, there are tons of weapons that haven't been touched, not to mention using a named legendary weapon. Dran Brave is just as off the mark as Courage Dran, because courage is literally a defining feature of a hero, so you really don't have any argument past "I just don't like it." Which is fine, but don't pretend there's any sort of justification past personal preference.

Oh, but I bet I can.
Villains also hold weapons, but that's not the point. Bravery and courage are synonymous, and thus interchangeable. Using a Zelda reference was particularly good, because Link, the Hero of Time, is literally the bearer of the Triforce of Courage, but I suppose you missed that part of the story. You can dislike the word choice as a personal preference that you might share with most other people, but don't act like you have some justifiable creative high ground to take, because it's the difference between calling something "azure" or "blue".

What are some good metal fight and X beys that anons here would reccomend getting? I dropped off at the end of the Metal series and garnered new interest after seeing videos about it. I still don't know if I wanna get the new stuff or stick to getting metals
>>
>>11360469
It depends on what you're looking for, really. I would say if you wanna do metal stuff, look for a cheap lot online, it'll usually have stuff that's both common and good. Lightning L-Drago, Flame Byxis, Meteo L-Drago, Earth Eagle, Storm Pegasus for example. Some beys you'll want more for the parts rather than the wheel, like Storm Pegasus sucks but the rubber tip is really good. Metal beys with the 4D gimmick are probably better avoided at first. They have good parts and some are strong, they're more expensive though which makes them harder to recommend as a starting point. As for X, you can't really go wrong starting with Phoenix Wing, Wizard Rod, Cobalt Dragoon. For pure attack types, you can just pick and choose. If you don't want to import, Dran Buster and Shark Edge are your best bets, otherwise you have a lot more options. There's still the issue where you'll want some beys more for parts than for the blades themselves. For example, you'll want a Ball or Orb bit, you'll want a Flat bit, you'll want Rush. Those are the main basic bits, there's some other good stuff like Level from Samurai Saber, Elevate and quite a few others, but they can be a bit more expensive or hard to get.
>>
>>11360144
Hasbro suits are retarded across the board, doing something sensible might actually be lethal.
>>
>>11359894
The CX beys are all rpg class archetypes, BX and UX were tools, I don't know why they changed the naming scheme but they have.
Brave(hero)
Arc(wizard rank)
Reaper
Dark(villain)
>>
Dual spin LR launcher for X when? I still have my MFB ones. As hyper-prominent as Cobalt Dragoon is, you'd think they would've made one by now instead of having to carry two launchers and two grips.
>>
>>11360755
Since when is Reaper an RPG archetype? Is it a villain?
>>
>>11360755
"Arch" is a rank, "arc" is a shape, usually used for spells like chain lightning and fire bolt. It could be a mistranslation, but with "dark" being a general adjective (while there are plenty of cool evil-sounding titles, like "nemesis") I'm not entirely sold on that.
>>
Wonder how many are going to buy the 25th anni set just for the left spin winder launcher.
>>
>>11360876
I'd hope not, there's already a launcher up for preorder.
>>
>>11360876
One of the reasons I wanted it was the dragon ripcord. They released the Samurai one which is also longer than the basic cord but the grip on it is worse than the original.
>>
>>11360808
Hells is taken from Demon Kings. Reaper is just variations of Scythe. All the lines are RPG inspired, not just CX. that's why the Frieren collab even happened and Frieren had a very obvious typical video game RPG inspiration. they even make mention of making maps and dungeon crawling like how players would.
>>
I hope Dran Brave is strong, at least Phoenix Wing-tier. I've been dying for a new attack type to use besides the usual ones and I don't care much for Impact Drake.
>>
>>11361021
same, as someone who isn't into stuff villains use, my choices are limited. i like the drans except dagger but i kind of do want more
>>
>>11341944
I decided to dedicate a bit more research to this subject (and by that I mean I just tried every one I had in an arena a few times instead of taking two or three and doing a single go at my desk) and my initial results were pretty drastically off. With a good spin any non-defense bit (those all failed miserably) can get you to the 15 second mark, but a good stamina or balance bit can take you up to the 20's and beyond. I had two (gear ball and taper) reach ~32 seconds, but the absolute GOAT is Level. Even on the worst spins you can get 16, 17 seconds. An average one goes almost 30, and the best I got was a frankly absurd 58 seconds.

If I had to rank what I saw, it'd be Level>Taper/High Taper>Gear Ball>Orb>Low Flat>everything else
>>

is 4-60 point a good ratchet? i see 4 rivets so 4 would probably synergize more because we don't have 8-X0 yet. I'm not that interested on the spin steal stuff, i have knight mail and wizard to do defense with me while cobalt does his left spin thing
>>
>>11361948
From what I'm aware, 5 is the typical ratchet, some run 7 or 1. The blade has an imbalance anyways so 4 wouldn't help with balancing it better.

Fans of Beyblade X want something out of Bird because he's the only Persona member without an opinion. Everybody else has their own reason for why they're there, Bird's just along for the ride because X asked him to be. Now I can't speak for the anime, but in the manga for the past 1.5 years all he's done is go along with whatever his teammates tell him to do. So as a result people are theorizing Bird may go down some dark path or even leave the Hell line of beys for something new... basically ANYTHING that'll give this kid his own objective because at the moment he has none other than 'have fun'.

And it makes sense Bird is the blandest, he's the most casual out of his team. He's essentially an allegory for people who don't want to be sweaty Beyblade try hards and just want to enjoy themselves.
>but isn't that X?
No X is the exact opposite. He's a try hard that treats what he does as casual. That kid lives for the battle because it's fun to him, that different from why Bird's beyblading. Even when X's opponents try making him sweat it doesn't matter because X is so far above everyone else on top of his naturally aloof behavior that it masks the fact he trains out of his mind.
>>
>>11363057
Still haven't seen anything newer than Transformers One near me, and not even the Studio Series at that. Fuckin radical.
>>11363400
I haven't read the manga, but in the anime, Bird is good at everything, he's an actual anime protagonist who everyone loved in his hometown. He plays Beyblade because it meant a lot to one of his short-term friends, and found out he really enjoys it, but pro beyblade competition is literally the one thing he's bad at. If he flipped sides, it would be entirely out of left field, even if he's lost every single pro fight he's had, because it's just not in his character. You'd have to do a major ass pull to turn him evil. If anyone is going to be an antagonist, it'll be Ekusu, but even that would be less "bad guy" and more "competitive rival."
>>
>>11363544
like that's just bird's entire character: winning at life, but not at beyblade.
>>
>>11359396
It's going to be a disaster. I can guarantee it. Corpos aren't really that good at managing tournaments nor hiring good referees. Asia Championship last year was ruined by one call that was not reviewed.
>>
>>11363544
>>11363554
Okay but that doesn't make Bird a compelling character. That's why him going 'dark' is such a popular fan theory because it'd mean SOMETHING is happening to him. Being good at things isn't a personality trait, it's just being good at things and as stated before Bird is the only Team Persona member without a reason for doing what he does. X is doing it because he wanted to start from the bottom again and battle people because he enjoys it, Multi wants to bolters her popularity and prove her worth against her sister, Tenka wound up on the team because she needed able bodied individuals to stand up against her mother.

So why's Bird going pro? Because he can? Bird gains and loses nothing by being a Beyblade pro and when you couple that with his loss record it's no wonder there's part of the fandom that wants something bad to happen to the kid like defecting or going the way of Khrome.
>>
>>11363851
>So why's Bird going pro? Because he can? Bird gains and loses nothing by being a Beyblade pro
Watch the anime, it explains it. His friend was going to be a pro, and it's a passed-on dream kind of thing. Suddenly making him a villain because "he's gotta do something" is ass writing, which doesn't deserve to be in the worst fanfiction. Suddenly flipping the pro rookie protagonist into being the villain is such a bad idea, literally no professional author would ever consider it with the story being what it currently is.
>>
>>11364004
>His friend was going to be a pro, and it's a passed-on dream kind of thing
The manga says that too, henceforth Bird is basically going pro because eh why not. So again the kid gains and loses nothing because his reasoning is nothing other than because someone else decided to try.
>Suddenly flipping the pro rookie protagonist into being the villain is such a bad idea
Even if it is, what's sad is that there would be people in this fan base that would actually like Bird more if he did defect. Mostly becuase it'd be something to talk about because there's literally nothing to discuss when his utility is an extra body for Team Persona.
>>
Well I'm finally getting an Impact Drake. I WAS going to pre-order the Perseus CX but my xitter feed has been FULL of Impact Drake and I fell for the propaganda. From what I hear, it's basically a stronger Dran Buster in use, right?
>>
>>11364022
>This is a decision he made for himself, and because I can't see what he has to gain from it, it's a bad decision.
Wow. Yeah, I don't think I'll ever be reading anything by you, unfortunately. This is about character growth, not some generic "Wowee zowee I gotta be the best there ever was, you can count on that!" nonsense.
I've literally never seen anyone pushing the "bird needs to turn evil" junk before today, never even heard anyone suggest it. It would be such a garbage plot twist, there's no selling it without changing the story entirely.
>>
>>11364038
>This is a decision he made for himself, and because I can't see what he has to gain from it, it's a bad decision.
I said it was a bad decision? Where? All I've said is his reasoning for doing what is does is the weakest out of the four protagonists, because it is. I'm personally rooting for the kid to improve so he'll stop doubting his skills.
>I've literally never seen anyone pushing the "bird needs to turn evil" junk before today, never even heard anyone suggest it
It's been a topic comes around now and again and it mostly started when people realized Bird was going to have the longest loss record in Beyblade. Obviously he's not going to leave Persona, but that hasn't stopped discussion about it.
>>
When a new thread is made, what should be put in the upcoming releases for Hasbro, everything showed at the toy fair?
>>
>>11364023
Yeah, about the same as Dranbuster but it had a drawbacks. It need to be one-hit attack because if it's spin long enough, when opponent bey hits Impact Drake's rubber contact, it would stop spinning.
>>
>>11364162
I'd say Hasbro would be the best option, atm, since Takara Tomy hasn't revealed anything new.

Add Silver Wolf and Impact Drake to the list. Low Rush opens up a lot of possibilities when deck building. If you don't already have a 7-60, Leon Crest is something to consider too.
>Should I bother with Chain Incendio?
No. Phoenix Wing, Tyranno Beat, Cobalt Dragoon, Wizard Rod, and Silver Wolf are pretty much all you need as far as blades go.
>>
>>11364488
I am so worried about why Cobalt Dragoon when I forgot Impact Drake is still Right-Spin. You think Chrome will be the first to use a Dual Spin Bey, since he's the first known user of a Right Spin AND Left Spin Bey to appear chronologically?

Also, I would like to shift to B-Daman since there's literally no place to talk about it. I want to ask if the Dark Stealth Shot did exist in the anime, and in turn for answering this question, I could talk about why exactly the special set version of Gatling Hades is blue.
>>
>>11364488
>Impact Drake will come with the drop stadium

Will I did get a Leon Crest thanks to your advice...
I guess I need to find a Beat Tyranno somehow.
Maybe in the summer I will import a bit more especially if Silver wolf has no release date outside of Asia.
Anyways thanks for the advice anon.

Speaking of Impact Drake, though, is all the stuff happening in the anime/manga legit or just in-universe exaggeration? Like did Omega really just appear with some paradox beyblade full of corrupting demon energy, and there's an organization trying to take the world over with beys, or is it theatrics? Because up to this point it's been mostly about sports team drama. I know this isn't the first time; we had the requiem spriggan ego death thing in Burst out of nowhere, too. But since even the "bit-beasts" in this gen are from holograms, I had gotten the vibe that the series was going to be more grounded compared to its predecessors.
>>
>>11365460
A little of both, I'm assuming. I don't think there are any genuinely supernatural events that occur, I think that's just a way of making mental instability more palatable for a children's show, but there's definitely an evil organization trying to rule the world by way of the Beyblade (which is crazy, but more understandable when the setting treats it as something greater than modern pro sports).
>>
>>11365507
Fair, but then It becomes kind of funny that the Impact Dragoon "custom" scene is treating the concept of swapping from stock combos as some forbidden technique. Not going to lie, though, if they ever release a "low gear flat" I'm absolutely using the "balance custom" on Impact Drake.

Yeah, gimme like ten minutes to get in the house first, but I'm pretty sure I still have the file for this. I use the same box, it's great. It's very solid, but it also gets to be a tight fit with some ratchets (like 2-X0).

If nobody finds the file, I could take some pictures/measurements of the separate parts, if that might help.
