I personally share the concerns of Lord Mayor Kerridge regarding the financial noose around ratepayers necks if this goes pear-shaped at any time!

Especially with the imminent opening of Sydney's 2nd international airport designed to siphon millions of travellers from the Sydney's existing facilities!

How does the board members that have overseen this project shrouded by outrageous cost blowouts whilst collecting between $80-120K p/a effectively plunging the airports books into the red reflecting similar amounts to the boards collective money grab!

Why has it taken so long for the transparency of the real financials position to be exposed?

More beat up. Seemingly no factual basis.

All too often the new Mayor is all outrage and alarm with cries of injustice. I wonder why this Lord Mayor is working so hard to feed the rumour mill and target a major workplace that is core to our region with no thought or consideration for the mental health or wellbeing of workers or their families.

And so close to a Federal Election too!

My father had concerns as a Port Stephens councillor around the airport establishment. Not the airport as an entity, the ownership and management. No Environment Impact Studies have ever been implimented. His concerns were raised over many years commencing 40 years ago. Any project commencing on shaky ground will develop cracks.
