Purpose of the job
The Sustainability Intern is responsible for:
- Gathering of environmental and social data, and management of the platform for storing data
- Assist in analysis of sustainability data
Outcomes I am responsible for
Sustainability
- Collection of the emissions-related data for our properties from data owners, contractors and supplier.
- Supporting project teams undertaking activities to meet sustainability targets
- Implement initiatives to continuously improve data collection and management.
- Critically review data received to ensure it is correct.
- Liaise with suppliers and tenants to obtain data and ensure that it is correct.
- Extract data from the sustainability system to ensure accurate reporting and for input into external documentation.
- Support the Senior Sustainability Advisor to meet key reporting standards such as GHG Protocol, GRESB and Green Star.
- Effectively manage queries from employees, contractors and consultants relating to sustainability.
- Ensure data is available for reporting to the Executive Management Team and Board.
- Provide guidance to team members on the sustainability data base and requirements for ensuring data integrity
- Other tasks as directed by the Senior Sustainability Advisor.

What a typical day may look like
- Manage and maintain the Sustainability database to ensure it is up to date and supporting the business
- Review data provided to ensure it is accurate and Stride requirements are met
- Provide reports and information as required from the sustainability database to support reporting
- Assist with sustainability projects and queries from other employees and provide assistance and support
Qualifications
- Studying towards a degree in business, sustainability, engineering, property or a related field
Role specific experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outcome focused, good attention to detail
