Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!
Metal (or Heavy Metal) is a genre of music that emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s, primarily in the UK and the US. It is defined primarily by densely compact, palm-muted, minor-scale guitar riffs drenched in distortion and dissonance (often utilizing tritones), with tight rhythmic syncopation in place of rock’s emphasis on swing, combined with powerful vocals and dark lyrics. The most broad characteristic that defines it from other genres is the feeling of “heaviness” (often associated with the exploration of the darker sides of the world), which is produced throughout the atmosphere and tonality of the music.
