This article will not cover camera functionality on the Jetson. Though it does cover how to to connect one and the ribbon cables required.

Introduction

Over my lifetime, I have personally built many computer systems from scratch. Some of these have included customized Windows and/or Linux desktops, an ungodly amount of Linux and UNIX-based servers, and numerous Raspberry Pi devices for systems monitoring and gaming. Each building project has had its own set of challenges. But getting the Jetson Orin Nano setup has sometimes been a real head-scratcher. And several places along the way I thought I bricked it altogether. So I would say this isn’t exactly an exercise for the faint of heart. But also, don’t let that discourage you. I’ve gone through the pain already, so you don’t have to!

Throughout this article, I will point out the issues I faced during this journey and how I resolved them.
