Masato must've trusted ichiban a lot if he was willing to let ichi pull him up by the belt... I doubt anyone else was allowed to do that other than sawashiro and maybe arakawa (though I feel that he'd probably avoid to do it as much as he could)
Mid 2000s Ryo with shoulder length hair and earrings like masato but clean shaven... or maybe short hair but no earrings or glasses... perhaps shoulder length hair but with glasses and earrings and facial hair(?)... a mysterious form of waka
I like how his design alone makes it clear that he cares a lot about his appearance. It's not for everyone, and you don't necessarily have to like it, but he's clearly going for a look and he's invested in maintaining it (especially the eyebrows)
I simply don't think that it was a fake relationship and that masato "went crazy" because the hostess he paid to talk to him was into another guy when there's a lot implying that it was a real, (supposedly) committed relationship, and that he was very much cheated on
I'm not a "yume" because I'm not delusional about it. I simply KNOW the only thing standing between me and masato is the fact that he's polygons... I gotta get him out of the game somehow
I know masato calls himself ugly and weak and embarrassing but I struggle to see him as actually "self-pitying" because to me he has a lot of pride. Fragile pride that covers up a profound self hatred, but pride nonetheless. He carries himself with a lot of dignity.
Masato had a loaded gun on him the entire night... and even though he's shown to be reckless and self-destructive, he didn't seem to consider using it on himself at all. Speaks volumes about his will to live tbh.
Another IW thing I wasn't crazy about was the idea that Ichiban of all people has no dating experience. You really expect me to believe that the lowlife kid getting involved with petty crime and who was a clear parallel to a young sawashiro had never been on a date?
These clubs are often used (not by everyone) as a way to meet people for real relationships and hostesses ARE shown to be in real relationships in the series... what makes you think a rich handsome guy in his early 20s wouldn't find a girlfriend at one of these
I understand sawashiro's decision to keep akane and masumi in the dark about each other but I really don't think they would've rejected masato at all :(
