About the smartphone we deliver

  • The smartphones, tablets, and other devices sold by our company are kitted according to our specifications before shipping. (Kitting refers to the process of installing and setting up the APN required to use AEON MOBILE Communication Services, apps provided by our company, recommended apps, shortcuts, etc. in advance. Please note that for some models, installation and setting may not be done due to device specifications, etc.)
  • The package has been opened prior to shipping for kitting (the vinyl exterior is not attached and the VOID stickers have been cut).

About delivery address

  • If you apply for a communication contract, the SIM card will be delivered to the address of your contract. Due to legal regulations, it is not possible to deliver each SIM card to a different address or to have the address forwarded to an address other than the contract address.

Smartphone initial settings

  • If you purchase this at the same time as signing up for AEON MOBILE Communications Service, you can choose whether to set up the device yourself or have it delivered with the initial settings already configured.
  • The number of days until delivery and the procedures for switching carriers (MNP) vary depending on the delivery method, so please check the information below before applying.

Customers open the package and configure their settings themselves.

  • The SIM card and device will be delivered separately.

Apply for SIM card only

  • The delivery times vary between transfer SIM cards (MNP) and SIM cards with new phone numbers.

Cancellations, returns, and exchanges

Cancellation of SIM card (data service)

Due to the nature of communication services, we cannot accept cancellations after the application is completed.
If you wish to cancel, you will need to complete the cancellation or initial contract cancellation procedures after receiving your SIM card.

  • *Only SIM cards that allow voice calls are eligible for the initial contract cancellation system.
  • *Even if you apply for cancellation or initial contract cancellation, you will still be billed for the fees used for communication services (the fees to be paid will differ depending on the cancellation or initial contract cancellation).

Cancelling orders of devices and products such as smartphones (excluding SIM cards)

Cancellations can only be made before the device or product is shipped.
Please check the shipping status of the device and product on your My Page, and then contact the AEON MOBILE Customer Center (phone number: 0120-025-260 / business hours: 10:30-19:30 / open every day) in person who placed the order.

  • * AEON MOBILE ID required to use your My Page will be sent to you in the email you receive when your order is completed (the password is the one you set when you applied).
  • *After completing your application, it may take up to one day for your order/delivery status to be reflected. Shipping source: Delivery will be made by courier from Tokyo, so depending on your area, delivery may be completed before the order and delivery status is reflected on My Page.
  • *Since we cannot verify your identity, we are unable to respond to your inquiries via chat or online inquiry counter.

Returns and exchanges of smartphones, etc. (excluding SIM cards)

If there is a problem with the delivered device or product

We take every possible measure to manage our devices and products, but if there is a problem with the device or product we have delivered or there is an error in the content, please contact the AEON Mobile Customer Center by the person who applied. Please contact us at (phone number 0120 -025-260/Business hours 10:30-19:30/Open 365 days. ) We will promptly replace the item at our expense or issue a refund.

  • *After receiving the device or product, please check the contents and condition immediately and notify us immediately if you find any defects or errors. If too much time has passed between delivery and your request, we may not be able to accommodate your request.
  • *If there is a problem with your communication device such as a smartphone, tablet, or router, please contact the manufacturer of the device you purchased yourself or check with your nearest AEON MOBILE shop. If the manufacturer or AEON MOBILE shop determines that the device is defective upon purchase, we will only accept exchanges or refunds within 31 days of the shipping date of the communication device.
  • *We may not be able to fulfill your request if the item has already been sold out. In that case, we will refund your money. Thank you for your understanding.
  • *Since we cannot verify your identity, we are unable to respond to your inquiries via chat or online inquiry counter.

Returns due to customer convenience

If you wish to return a device or product due to your convenience, please contact the Aeon Mobile Customer Center (Telephone number 0120-025-260 / Business hours 10:30-19:30 / Please contact us (Open 365 days). We accept returns as follows:

  • Please make a request within 14 days of receiving the device/ product. We may not be able to accept depending on the time limit of your request.
  • Shipping charges for delivery and return are the customer’s responsibility
  • Stores cannot accept returns.

However, we cannot accept returns if any of the following apply.

  • If 15 days or more have passed since you received the device/product
  • If it has already been opened or used
  • If the packaging and accessories of the device/product have already been disposed of
  • Return of only part of the device/product that was sold as a set
  • If the product is soiled or damaged due to customer negligence
  • If the customer disassembles or modifies the product
  • Other cases where the company determines that the item is not eligible to be returned

Please note that SIM cards (data services) cannot be returned (cancellation requires cancellation or early contract termination procedures to be completed).

If the company decides to suspend shipping or cancel

If we determine the contract to be inadmissible, we may suspend or refuse to provide services in the following cases even if you have completed your application

  • If the documents submitted are not sufficient to confirm your identity (you may be asked to submit other documents).
  • If it has been proven that a contract does not meet the terms and conditions, terms of each service, the content of any essential points, or any of the provisions and conditions etc. (false declarations by data service users, fraudulent use of documents, and other fraudulent acts)
  • If the Company deems usage to be inadmissible based on past usage status (such as if there are unpaid usage fees)
  • Other cases that our company deems inadmissible

If we determine that anything is inadmissible, such as in the following cases, we may stop shipping the device or product or cancel the order, even after the order for the device or product has been completed.

  • If it is suspected that your credit card has been used fraudulently
  • If we decide to suspend or refuse the providing data services that the customer has applied for concurrently.
  • Other cases that our company deems inadmissible

If an item is returned to the company after exceeding the courier service’s holding period due to non-delivery, service will be automatically cancelled after one month from the shipping date. Please be aware that the company will not be held liable in such an event.

Refunds for devices and products

Once the returned device/product arrives at our company, we will process the refund with your credit card company.

  • *Depending on your order completion date and request deadline, your credit card may be charged first. In that case, the timing of refunds will depend on the terms and conditions of your credit card company.
  • *In the case of a return due to the customer's convenience, we will refund the product price (including consumption tax) minus miscellaneous expenses such as shipping fees and transfer fees.
  • *Usage fees for communication services are not eligible for refund. Even if you apply for cancellation or initial contract cancellation, you will still be billed for the charges used for communication services (the charges that are subject to payment will differ depending on the cancellation or initial contract cancellation). About changing your device (buying a new one)

Procedures for changing your model (replacing your purchase) can be carried out at your nearest AEON MOBILE shop.
You can also complete the procedure when purchasing a device from the official website or My Page.

Precautions when changing (purchasing) your model

  • Applications and services that you use on your current device may not be available on your new device. Please make sure to check the compatibility of applications and services with each device before purchasing.
  • After purchasing, you will need to insert the SIM card of your current device into your new device and perform the initial setup before using it (devices sold by our company are shipped with the APN required for using AEON MOBILE communication services set up).
    In addition, you will be responsible for transferring your contacts and other data, and for changing your model for apps and services.
  • The SIM card you are using in your current device may not be compatible with your new device.
    • If you are using an eSIM, you will need to have your eSIM reissued (for a fee) as you will not be able to use your current eSIM on your new device. Also, if your new device does not support eSIM, you will need to change to a card-type SIM card (for a fee).
    • If you are using two or more card-type SIM cards in your current device, please be aware of the number of SIM cards that can be used in your new device. If your new device supports eSIM, you can use two or more SIM cards by changing your card-type SIM card to an eSIM (fees apply).
    • If the SIM card size of your current device is different from the SIM card size of your new device, you'll need to change the SIM card size (fees apply).
    • For details on the procedure for changing/reissuing a SIM card, please see "If you need to change/reissue your SIM card" below.
  • After delivery, you will need to insert the SIM card from your current device into your new device yourself, and if you have contracts for the AEON Smartphone Security Pack, Friendly Security Pack, AEON Smartphone Security Warranty, AEON Telephone Support, AEON Smartphone Security, or AEON MOBILE Security Plus on your current device, you will need to go through the process of continuing or discontinuing (cancelling) your optional services.
    • If you are purchasing a new device at an AEON MOBILE shop, please inform the staff at the time of purchase.
    • If you purchase a new device from the official website or My Page, please be sure to log in with your AEON MOBILE ID, select "Change model" on the procedure selection screen, and select whether to continue or discontinue (cancel) your optional services on the application screen.

    • Customers who purchased a device sold by our company on an e-commerce site other than our official website, such as Yahoo! Shopping, AEON MOBILE Online Shop, or AEON MOBILE Qoo10, must apply for a model change at their nearest AEON MOBILE shop within 14 days of the device's shipping date (applications cannot be made online or over the phone).
    • If you do not change your device model, your contract for these optional services will continue with your current device, and you will continue to be billed for the monthly fee unless you request otherwise. Please note that you will also no longer be able to use these optional services on your new device.

  • *If you change to a card-type voice call SIM card/change the size from My Page, your current SIM card will no longer be usable once the procedure is complete.   • *The SIM card will be delivered to the address registered in your customer information. By law, we cannot forward the delivery or deliver to a different address. Please be sure to check the address registered before proceeding.
  • *If you change to a card-type SIM card or change the size at AEON MOBILE shop nationwide during opening hours, you can receive the SIM card on the same day.
  • *Data-only SIM cards (including SMS-enabled SIM cards) cannot be applied for through My Page. Please apply at your nearest AEON MOBILE shop.

How to change your device model online

1. Purchase the device you want to upgrade to from the official website or My Page.

  • When you proceed to the checkout, a screen will appear asking "Do you have an AEON MOBILE ID?" Select "Yes" and log in with AEON MOBILE ID.
    After logging in, select "Change device" on the screen and select the phone number of the device you want to change to.
  • You cannot apply for model upgrades for multiple devices at the same time (please apply for each device one at a time).

  • From the top page of your My Page, select the phone number (SIM card) of the device you wish to change to.
  • The SIM card details screen will be displayed, so press the "Change model with this line" button (you will be taken to the application website).
  • Please select the device you wish to purchase from the list on the application screen.
  • You cannot apply for model upgrades for multiple devices at the same time (please apply for each device one at a time).

2. Select the optional services you want to sign up for, continue, or discontinue (cancel) on your new device.

  • Optional services that can be selected on the model change application screen are "AEON Smartphone Security Pack," "Friendly Security Pack," "AEON Smartphone Security Guarantee," "AEON Smartphone Telephone Support," "AEON Smartphone Security," and "AEON MOBILE Security Plus."
  • If you are currently subscribed to these optional services on your device, "Cancel" will be selected for all of them on the application screen.
    • Select all optional services you want to continue on your new device.
    • Do not select any optional services that you do not want to continue on your new device.
  • Contract changes or rate plan changes for optional services other than "AEON Smartphone Security Pack," "Friendly Security Pack," "AEON Smartphone Security Guarantee," "AEON Smartphone Telephone Support," "AEON Smartphone Security," and "AEON MOBILE Security Plus" cannot be applied for at the same time as applying for a model change (please apply for this separately from the model change).
