#NHLStats: Live Updates - 2024-25 NHL Trade Deadline

Follow coverage of the 2024-25 NHL Trade Deadline all day ahead of the 3 p.m. ET cut-off on Friday, March 7:

* NHL Network: Seven consecutive hours of coverage begins at 10 a.m. ET with simulcast of Sportsnet’s Hockey Central, followed by a three-hour trade deadline edition of NHL Tonight at 2 p.m. ET, NHL Now at 5 p.m. ET and NHL Tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

* Sportsnet: Hockey news breakers, analysts and reporters will have coast-to-coast coverage of all the moves made ahead of this season's NHL Trade Deadline. Full coverage on March 7 begins at 10 a.m. ET on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.

* ESPN: ESPN+ will stream Deadline Day coverage from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with ESPN2 also airing the coverage from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.

* NHL.com: Check out the official trade tracker and follow all-day coverage on the site including Dan Rosen's Trade Deadline Live Blog.

* Trade action continued the day before the deadline with multiple deals on March 6, including original Golden Knight Reilly Smith returning to Vegas, the Avalanche acquiring forward Brock Nelson and the Oilers adding defenseman Jake Walman from the Sharks.
 

 

The #NHLStats Pack: 2024-25 NHL Trade Deadline includes many charts and notes ahead of the deadline, including:

* Entering Friday, 1,293 players and 519 draft picks have been dealt across 716 trades on deadline day since 1979-80.

* The highest number of different players dealt on a single deadline day is 55, in 2010 and again in 2020.

* There have been 29 players acquired on deadline day since 1979-80 who then won the Stanley Cup that season, with Kyle Okposo the most recent to achieve the feat (FLA in 2023-24). These players are denoted in the “Deadline Day Trades by Stanley Cup Champions” list on page 9 of the attached PDF.

* The Penguins and Rangers have each acquired 73 players on deadline day since 1979-80, the highest such total over that span. A full breakdown is included on page 10 of the attached PDF.
