here’s what happens when you tell an artist that their design looks like another character design:
-if it’s a character they know, they will feel ashamed and worried that they subconsciously ripped off the design. they will not want to draw that design anymore
-if it’s a character they don’t know, they will become fearful that other people who don’t know them are going to look at their design and think that they ripped it off anyway and they will not want to draw that design anymore
-it’s not a compliment
-it just makes us feel bad

in general, i suppose. i’m not very fond of little kids. i don’t want them. they give me headaches and i cannot deal with their antics.
you know what i do when kids talk to me? i smile. i answer them. i tell them their scribbles look really good. i open their juice boxes for them and ask to hear more about their power rangers.
because although i may not be fond of children, i was one. i remember being a kid and how much sour adults impacted my life even today. so when a child who is screaming and crying with a runny nose walks past me, i put on my smiling face and ask them what’s wrong instead of rolling my eyes.
because that’s what you do. you tolerate children even if you tend to dislike them. because kids are so impressionable and remember everything. i cannot bring myself to enjoy being around children. but that doesn’t mean i let them know.
Yes, as someone who really does love kids, it says a LOT to me if someone is mean to kids. Even if you don’t like them, if they smile at you and you don’t smile back, you’re just not being a nice person and I immediately judge you.

My favorite kind of characters are those goofball, comic relief characters that are very happy and nice. then we learn bit by bit about them and their underlying traits, maybe some self esteem issues, maybe why they’re so happy and optimistic. they get some character development here and there and maybe a bit of subplot revolving around them
and then we see them break

Tony and Bruce both get a flash of the night of Bruce’s fateful encounter with the gamma bomb. Turns out Tony was there, drunk off his ass, teasing Bruce about what a loser pacifist he was and how he should leave the weapons-making to the REAL men, basically. Then, ORIGINAL SIN, what’s this? Tony got paid to tamper with the bomb? IT’S ALL TONY’S FAULT THAT BRUCE IS THE HULK?Wait, nope. EXACT OPPOSITE ACTUALLY. Tony went in to take a look at the bomb, sure. But he realized that Bruce had put too much shielding on it, and turned it into a weapon five, ten times bigger than he had planned.
