How to Export Encrypted Backup of Google Maps Timeline?
When Google Maps warned me that they would delete all my timeline data in December, I quickly set it to migrate to my phone.
This seems to have been the wrong choice to do so early, because now all my Google Takeout data, which I specifically requested so that I could have a comprehensive backup of my Timeline viewable and editable in other programs, has nothing more than an `Encrypted Backups.txt` file saying backups are available on Google Services, and a .json of any edits I've done. There is absolutely no data there for the part of my timeline I haven't edited.
So, how do I access that? I see no option in the Google Maps app, which the data was supposedly moved to, to export it all to a file so that I can view it in a better and more capable program than Google Maps. I only see an option to upload it to other instances of Google Maps to download, which is not very useful.
For me this data is absolutely critical to have in an open, machine-readable form.
