Goonies
Either one would be cool!
Quoted from Billygrippo:Dropping hints is not a bad thing. I think it gets people excited to maybe hold off on a potential purchase of another game.
Companies should pitch mock-ups of theme with layouts and rule sets unbuilt of what interests their group of workers and buyers so we can get some lead time for savings financially possible to cause cancellations or redesigns due to voting and assist in creating by adding suggestions could be through a pay wall to limit such discussion all unread paid suggestions get refunded after a week without processing and if they don’t want to monetize that sector keep the paywall and always give back the money at end of week or upon review to keep suggestions more limited

That may be the longest sentence I’ve ever read.

Quoted from mpdpvdpin:It’s a timeless kids movie starring kids…why would kids not like it?
Because it’s terrible
Do you suggest that our current industry model of speculation and rumors combined with limited yearly releases that almost always don’t hold the breadth of vision that it’s theme or integration can provide is our only resolve
This current model ends the with the convention to be a “well there you have it this is what we got and your gonna buy it or wait 6months give or take for another release of similar overall value (another fan layout more often) and don’t expect drastic changes with updates let alone innovation with rules and scoring as every insert is dedicated to rules from limited few involved in project from said company not always easily tweaked in post also culminating with a theme that isn’t always alluring either”
I don't know what's crazier. Calling Goonies a terrible movie kids wouldn't like or suggesting companies pitch us mock up themes to get us to vote on. Anyways whatever is next im excited to hear about and see from Spooky.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:It’s a timeless kids movie starring kids…why would kids not like it?
Because they watch weird homemade cartoons, toy unboxing videos, and Fortnite streamers on YouTube now? I dunno, I could be way off, but if I had to bet I’d think many wouldn’t rate it highly.

I'm kinda with you. However, when I talk to my friends it seems I'm the odd one out. I'm old enough that I should like it.

Yeah? Sounds like you don’t hold a lot of stock in the intelligence of children. I assure you they are smarter than we are. Their mind are elastic bands. However, they are also creatures of habit. If they are presented with higher value media on a regular basis they will respond positively and develop better tastes. If you leave them alone with tablets they will fall into the pop culture brainrot of their similarly ignored peers. But anyway…
Pirate ship and treasure, mobsters, a Sloth, an Asian 007, Corey “Rock God” Feldman, Cindy Lauper, kids saving grown ups, and love stories. It has it all. I’m thinking Goonies as it’s the only one Spooky has shut down. I believe they have followed this pattern.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Yeah? Sounds like you don’t hold a lot of stock in the intelligence of children.
How is saying a child of today would not like, or at least not put it in their top 10 of media they consume, a movie from 1985, insulting their intelligence?
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:If you leave them alone with tablets they will fall into the pop culture brainrot of their similarly ignored peers.
So, the majority? Got it.

My friends kid is like 12, her favorite band is bauhaus and she is obsessed with the 1920 German expressionist film Cabinet of Dr Caligari. Dull parents in a dull community…dull children. So yeah, I suppose the majority unfortunately.
Quoted from spooky_dj:Pretty sure I left a hint somewhere on Evil Dead as to what a potential future theme might be.
After Goonies you mean?
Quoted from Billygrippo:No, sorry. After beetlejuice
I agree with that. We need a Beetle before Goonie.

The callouts alone…

Does it have anything to do with this..?

His last movie? Confessions of a teenage drama queen? lol

At least you had me kill an hour on the swing shift last night zooming in on pictures of the playfield...

We got a GTA pin before we got GTA6

Would rather have Red Dead. People know GTA for the random violence and not an actual story, not that it doesn’t have one. Probably too soon for another modern western pin given CCr.
Quoted from cookpins:Do kids even like Goonies? I can’t see it holding any interest with them. It’s an old man theme.
I think it’s 100x better than Motorhead. At least with that you don’t have to listen to the Ace of Spades for hours

What, you don’t want to have Tony Hawk Pro Skater flash backs?
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:If we’re talking modern video games then FALLOUT is the only solid choice imo.
I so agree with this. Back when I had time to game, I put hundreds of hours into this series. Although I am excited about the Halo rumor.

Red Dead was epic,no doubt. But me and the fellas had more fun doing absolutely random sh@t in GTA Online than any other game I’ve ever played. Red Dead (especially 2) was a slower burn for sure, couldn’t get into the online end of things. If you saw these guys coming you knew it was going to get, well, ridiculous. Excited for 6! Hopefully I’m still alive when it comes out

I see your fallout and raise you
“The fractured but whole”
C’mon SpookyBug give me the holiest of grail themes

Luckily Motörhead made more than one song.
They released 23 studio albums over 40 odd years.

For my own sanity I’m going to pretend you are joking.

It’s a South Park video game, and while no Fallout (I was joking on that one) it’s actually a decent RPG-style game. A new SP pin would be an insta-buy for me though, big fan over the years and it’s an IP that needs a proper pinball treatment and a redemption
They Live would be perfect for pinball, and epic if released next year, they talk about 2025.

I know what it is. It’s a waste of Spooky’s talent. Let Stern handle that.

BioShock would be amazing and I'd only trust Spooky to do it right.

Guitar hero lol. I have grown to hate that song “Ace of Spades” I had a friend and they would only play “Ace of Spades” over and over. The only people who have herd that song more than me is Motörhead
spooky has the best production quality and best people, but they really gotta stop with this niche horror crap imo. their best games by far are tna & rick & morty. they'd actually sell more games with a generic theme honestly. very few people want knife wielding maniacs staring back at them all day.
also i would've paid danesi anything he asked to keep him there, he's the best designer in pinball imo and his talents are wasted on p3. yes, better than elwin only because stern is so bland and refuses to do anything outside the box. this hobby is sorely in need of innovation, and all we have are companies spinning their wheels. tna was a serious game changer and a giant move in the right direction. really wish we could've got more of it.
Quoted from donkadelic:they'd actually sell more games with a generic theme honestly
They sell as many as they can comfortably make.
I think they know what they’re doing.
Most probably.

I look forward to Spooky comfortably making Motörhead. Most probably.
