    Quoted from EE_PinMike:

And, if my next guess for a Multimorphic theme sounds too much like a Christmas wish list item by Ralph in the Christmas Story... then I think the "Christmas Story" would be a pretty amazing pin.

A game my wife couldn’t say no to! It is her fav!

Any chance we see the next P3 game announced at TPF in a few weeks now?

    #103 12 days ago

If Portal is the next game as rumored; I think this might be the first chance we'd have at a Co-Op Pinball machine.
Imagine combining the over the network capability of Heads Up! with the co-op nature from Portal 2.
Imagine having a game where two (or more) players could work together to progress thru a set of test chambers to hit specific shots?
What if the Leader board focused on non-Cheating team speed runs. IE how fast they could progress thru the test chambers?

I know that Heads Up! and Cosmic Cart Racing both had internet game play; but both of them were adversarial in nature (IIRC)... not cooperative. Imagine pairing yourself with the skills of better player to get bragging rights on the speed run leader board.

That would be innovation IMHO. Having said that; people sux and I know they would abuse the leaderboard in some way by cheating.

    TNA has a co-op mode.

It would be pretty sweet to have a coop online game. Only easier the more P3's get out!

GROK3 had a good long think today and here is what it said when asked if Portal was the next MM release:

The rumor about Multimorphic’s next pinball machine being based on Portal, the iconic video game franchise, has been floating around—mostly sparked by speculation on pinball forums like Pinside and a recent mention on Knapp Arcade suggesting it as a possibility. As of today, February 21, 2025, there’s no official confirmation from Multimorphic, so it’s still just chatter in the pinball community.

Portal as a theme makes a lot of sense for the P3 platform, though. The game’s physics-bending mechanics—portals that teleport you across spaces—could translate brilliantly to Multimorphic’s modular setup. Imagine a playfield where the ball physically “jumps” between sections via magnetic tricks or a custom module mimicking portal travel, paired with the P3’s LCD screen showing dynamic portal effects. The franchise’s dark humor, voiced by GLaDOS, would fit perfectly with callouts and animations, and the puzzle-solving vibe could inspire some wild rule sets. Plus, Portal has a cult following—enough to drive hype without needing a mainstream blockbuster license.

That said, there’s no hard evidence yet. Multimorphic’s latest focus has been shipping The Princess Bride kits, with production batches stretching into mid-2025. A Portal announcement might be timed for after that, maybe at a big event like Texas Pinball Festival 2025, if they’re ready to reveal something new. The rumor feels like wishful thinking from fans who see the P3’s potential for innovative toys and tech. On X, I’ve seen a few enthusiasts tossing the idea around, but nothing from Multimorphic’s official channels hints at it.
Could it happen? Sure—the P3’s design screams for a theme like Portal. But until Multimorphic drops a teaser, it’s just a fun guess. What draws you to the Portal rumor—do you think it’d be a slam dunk for them?

Come to think of it, I don't think we ever saw a depiction of the enemy in Final Resistance... I'm betting it was GROK4. Come to think of it wasn't there sp3culatuon of a GLaDOS like AI overload in FR?

Hopefully, some of you were able to beat it... training for the future?!?

    #109 9 days ago

I was like wtf is GROK3 ... a quick google search turned up the answer.

    #110 9 days ago

Remember speak positively about AI while you can...it might let you live later.

    #111 9 days ago

If Portal rumors are true I'd be a day 1 buyer! I have an old talking Cave Johnson painting from Thinkgeek way back in the day and autographs from Ellen McLain who voiced GlaDOS!

Seriously if they got J.K. Simmons for Cave Johnson or even the rights to use the in game voice work he did or GlaDOS and Wheatley to do callouts!? I'd die.

Plus I'd love to see Valve work with a pinball company. They'd probably be a fun licensor to work with and I did love the work they did with the steam deck kind of tech demo spin off game Desk Job.

Whatever theme they pick will be great, I'm confident. But new Portal content in 2025 would be amazing

Now’s a good time to announce a new game!
Nothing really new has been announced for awhile in all of pinball.
We’re all dying for any confirmed new game.
Seems you’ll have the market to yourself for a few months.

Not to mention Princess Bride production is almost complete.

TPF seems to be the time of choice for announcements. It’s in a month. IMHO Expect BoF, JJP, MM announcements. Not sure Stern has something already with DnD just launched.

Jjp is rumored to be waiting until Chicago.
Don't think bof is firing on enough cylinders to announce in March.

Massive win for MM if they are the only ones announcing a game then!

I'd heard BoF have six unnamed games on the machines list for TPF.

But I'm personally more interested in what MM announces.

On the TPF website BOF has five games listed with the title “TBA”. I think it’s likely we see something new from them based on this alone.

I would love to see MM’s next game announced at TPF. Hope it’s Portal.

    #119 5 days ago

Hmmm...they usually tease something a month before TPF, I'm starting to think maybe no new game at the show. I hope I'm wrong.

There is always MGC in April as well? Rumors are that AP might announce their new game there as it’s more video game centric. Portal is more video game centric as well, so that could be a possibility. The game could also just not be ready in time for TPF.

    #122 3 days ago

Believing the new Multimorphic game won't be ready for TPF is just silly talk.
Look back at history... It's be a snowballs chance in hell that the new game won't be there. TPF is always a cornerstone show for Multimorphic. They've been there with something new every year since before MM came out as an official pinball company. Here' s picture from WAAAY back:

I have been wrong about other things tho... so ... what do I know really?

That said; if you are setting on cash waiting for the next Title... keep your money in the bank.

There's also this posted on their page:

You might be onto something here…Look at the previous release timeline for MM below…

    Heist: Announced in March 2020.

Weird Al’s Museum of Natural Hilarity: Announced on February 24, 2022.

Final Resistance: Announced on March 6, 2023.

The Princess Bride: Announced on February 18, 2024.

It’s entirely possible that we see an announcement for this new game sometime between now and mid March. Hmm…

Prototype #1 likely 2012 at TPF
Lexy Lightspeed Announced - likely 2013 at TPF.
Lexy Lightspeed Released - likely TPF 2014
Cannon Lagoon, Barnyard, ROCs & Secret Agent - likely TPF 2016
Heads Up - Likely TPF 2017 (not sure about that one)
    CCR - Likely TPF 2018
Not sure about 2019 - I don't think CCR Career mode was available at TPF.
2020 TPF was cancelled due to COVID 19
Sorcerer's Apprentice - don't recall if it was TPF 2021.
The rest of your list seems accurate.

So; I *could* be wrong - as there were some years early their roadmap where they didn't have something new. This could be the year they skip an announcement. Doesn't' feel likely given their facehugger post above about the TPB finishing backlog of production in a few weeks.

    #125 3 days ago

I'm hoping to get more time in with The Princess Bride at TPF no matter what happens. Lines were long last year so I only played it once. Of course I can't complain too much...things worked out well since I ordered a Weird Al on the drive back to Austin.

As soon as my employment situation improves I'd like to pick up at least one more module. Most likely Heist.

    #126 3 days ago

Tpf is in their home state. Seems to make sense to keep that as where they announce new games and have a strong presence. As long as the module is similar price, I’ll be in trying to get on the first wave of orders

Kaneda posted this morning that Portal IS the next Multimorphic P3 game…

He received confirmation from a “source”.

With that said, if this is truly their next game then I might have to finally purchase the unit. I really like Heist and loved Final Resistance at Expo, but I needed something to get me over the edge. This might be it…

While I haven't played Princess Bride enough to judge it so far I think Weird Al is their best game. But I definitely would like to catch them all eventually.

2 weeks to TPF and no teasers yet.
