Where Jekyll and Hyde make a little wager that Hyde can’t last a week unrestricted without burning London down. Hyde wants to prove him wrong.
I also like the fact that Hyde *is* Jekyll, he’s just as intelligent as Jekyll which is something probably no one knows
Ooh this is a great idea. It could create a sort of inverse ending to the typical Jekyll and Hyde story.
Hyde starts out rough, almost burns down London a couple times, but demands Jekyll let him see out the duration of the bet.
Hyde gets back on his feet, starts getting serious, and engages more fervently in Henry’s alchemical experiments than Jekyll ever did. Expressing his emotions openly, clumsily, and sometimes cruelly gets Hyde further along in Henry’s relationships than Jekyll, cutting out the people Henry doesn’t like and confessing care for the people he does. There are losses, but the result is a more sincere and authentic life.
Henry starts to see the good in this, while Hyde begins to understand the use of Henry’s self restraint whenever he accidentally breaks something or hurts someone.
They start understanding one another with more openness and curiosity. However, Henry’s never spent this much time as Hyde, and the longer Hyde refuses to take the potion for the sake of trying to complete the bet and accomplish his goals for Henry, the more there are… side effects.
Partial transformations start happening, red-eyed Hyde becomes a problem, and Hyde is struggling for control as everything starts to fall apart. Then the reveal: Henry is Jekyll AND Hyde. In a final violent transformation where both try to kill each other but end up having a heart to heart, they become brown-eyed Henry, with a blonde streak in his hair and a more youthful appearance to his face.
Lanyon, Rachel, and Jasper are shocked, but overall, spending time getting to know Hyde has made them see Henry in a more flawed and emotional light, and they accept him.
Henry’s finally, wholly himself.

Or if you prefer somewhere less boujee, you can stay at my place. I'll ask my dad to have you your own room? If you want that is."
Hugo processes everything he just said. It honestly almost felt like a dream as soon as his words click to him. "That ... sounds really nice, goggles." he says softly, a genuine smile crossing his face. It's all he could ever ask for really.
"If you agree, I promise I'll make sure you have a home to go to." Varian insists with as much care as his voice could express, sounding more sure of himself, that this is what he wants— because it is, more than anything right now.
"I already have one though." says the blonde in return.
The other alchemist blinks inquisitively, it's adorable every time he makes a curious face. Hugo couldn't help but let a fit of giggles escape him, "A home. I already have one."
"He's standing right in front of me. And wherever he goes, I go."
