What’s amazing to me is how incredibly bad fake tumblr blogs are at passing the Turing Test.
It’s not weird for a tumblr blog to have seventy or eighty reblogs without an original post, so it should theoretically be easy to impersonate a real one; just reblog random or popular posts.
But when someone follows you, and you’re like, “huh,” so you click on their blog, and you scroll down about eight posts before you’re like, “this is a fake blog made by a fake person. There is no doubt in my mind.”
Honestly, usually just mousing over their icon so you can see the title and last three posts is enough.
it’s funny because the ability to display your Likes and Follows on your blog has literally been around since the dawn of time, and it’s always been and will continue to be a toggle option
so while everybody else is up in arms about this ”””update””” ruining their privacy, I’m just sitting here like “this is the laziest and scummiest thing staff has announced to make people think they’re actually working”

im getting a lot of adventure time blogs following me lately and i dont rly understand why since i dont rly blog about adventure time much at all but. welcome, all the same,
its rly funny when people try to play omniscient characters on shamchat or w/e bc u obviously dont actually know everything about my character so u see them grasping at straws trying to still appear like their character knows all but then they’re totally wrong
like i had someone telling lex they know all about his shattered alcoholic life which im guessing they tried to infer from the fact that he mentioned drinking too much champagne but
lex is an anti and its really hard for him to even get drunk in the first place and he does drink kinda a lot but not rly THAT much more than most people his age who drink socially would. and it barely affects him anyway so it doesn’t matter. alcoholism has never been a problem for him at all hes just like a weird facebook wine aunt or something

you take one cookie away from each plate, to treat them equally, right? meaning equality to you is that one of them has absolutely no cookies left whereas the other one can still stuff his fucking face of cookies for the next 35 years to come
this is the simplest way i can explain to someone with less ability to think than a 5th grader what’s the difference between formal equality and substantive equality if at this point you don’t understand you need to go back to the basics of critical thinking

they’ve got their thesis project to work on and stuff so we just sorta agreed to let TGV wait for a bit since it’s less high of a priority. the story’s done but karey’s drawing illustrations for me one at a time
they’re about done with their thesis work tho so new update should be comin up this weekend!

blookmallow Follow sorry for talking about shamchat so much but likeit is REALLY hard to be completely in character on there like lex ordinarily only very rarely slips up and has weird things like fangs showing, 90% of the time you can’t tell anything’s weird about him he’s too careful for that (he does have a bad habit of constantly forgetting which eye is which color but he just shrugs and claims they’re contacts if anyone asks) and no matter how much you question him he just sorta talks his way around it and refuses to get offended/will not get stressed out or nervous but in a shamchat situation i want the other person to figure out something’s weird about him bc its interesting, i want to see if they can crack him and figure out what he is (so far lots of people have tried/figured out something’s up, only like 2 people have actually gotten him to confess tho) like i kinda have to have him be more vulnerable than he should be/break faster than he should/say more than he should/slip up more than he should
