misc sa sexual abuse if the allusion to sexual abuse was lost in translation we need to protect the poor loc team from harassment by harassing you instead <3 and since i am already opening up a can of worms by mentioning this at all in this fandom the standard of evidence changes depending on who's being discussed regardless of the portrayal so the suggested abuse of female characters goes unquestioned but if you're a male character well buddy you better be the “conventional” victim you better be disadvantaged in age and/or height and/or weight and/or strength and/or even if people come around. there's resistance and it's kind of interesting to observe this more so than when people categorically deny everything because it suggests there is a kind of suffering that people can intuitively make sense of and a kind of suffering that people cannot if a character's suffering is understood (even captivating in some cases) they can always suffer more but others well they've suffered enough haven't they ehh not that interesting actually very mundane tbh
