山岡泰輔選手活動自粛のお知らせ

オリックス・バファローズでは、山岡泰輔選手にコンプライアンス違反の疑いがあることが判明したため、以下の対応を行いましたのでお知らせいたします。
2月17日に山岡選手のオンラインカジノ利用に関する情報を入手したNPBより調査依頼を受け、球団では18日、山岡選手本人と面談し、山岡選手が過去に、海外でカジノのライセンスを取得しているサイトが運営するポーカーゲームのトーナメント大会に参加していた事実を把握しました。
球団といたしましては山岡選手に対し、違法性の認識の有無に関わらず、社会的影響力の大きいプロ野球選手としての自覚を欠いた行動であったという見解を伝え、球団からの指摘を受けた山岡選手は、本日、大阪市内で警察に対し今回の事案に関する相談を行いました。山岡選手に対しましては、当面の間、プロ野球選手としての活動の自粛を命じており、正式な処分等につきましては、決まり次第あらためてお知らせします。
球団は把握した内容をNPBに報告しており、今後も警察及びNPBに協力して対応してまいります。
関係各所の皆様及びファンの皆様には、多大なるご迷惑とご心配をおかけいたしますことを心よりお詫び申し上げます。
