Celebrating 5 Years as CTO of (IOHK/IOG) 
Five years ago, I took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at IOG with a mission: to drive blockchain innovation, push the boundaries of decentralization, and build scalable, secure, and sustainable technologies.
In that time, we’ve:
Delivered Cardano’s smart contract capabilities, unlocking an entire ecosystem of decentralized applications.
Designed and launched acceleration program which funded more than 2,000 community initiatives/projects for more than $150M over 5 years.
Deployed Ouroboros Praos provably secure proof-of-stake consensus, with 0 downtime, and spearheaded scalability solutions that ensure Cardano remains robust and efficient as adoption grows with Hydra and Mithril.
Launched PartnerChains, enabling Layer 1 blockchains secured by Cardano’s stake pool operators via restaking.
Contributed to the emancipation of Cardano’s ecosystem with the deployment of decentralized governance that established a government and ratified a constitution on-chain.
Strengthened global blockchain collaboration, contributing to open-source projects, including our engagement with (and the open sourcing of our decentralized identity stack #Identus), and formed the .
Led cutting-edge evidence-based research and development, bringing scientific rigor to blockchain development for Cardano and .
Built some super fun projects like Hydra Doom and Crypto Bisons (now ) innovative web3 games, as well as establishing Herd as a DAO in Japan.
I am also very proud of establishing IOG innovation process for our new ventures through ideation, incubation and acceleration stages.
What makes this journey truly special is the incredible team at IOG and the passionate community that supports us.
