From the Google Play Store page:
Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a roguelike RPG, with pixel art graphics and lots of variety and replayability. Every game is unique, with five different playable characters, randomized levels and enemies, and over 150 items to collect and use. The game is simple to get into, but has lots of depth. Strategy is required if you want to win!
This game is based on the free and Open Source source code of Pixel Dungeon. It began as a project to improve on the original game's quirks, but has since evolved into a separate game, with many unique features.
ShatteredPD includes:
- High replayability: Randomly generated levels, enemies, and items. No two games are the same!
- 6 hero classes: Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Huntress, Duelist and Cleric. Each hero has a unique play style.
- 12 subclasses: Successful heroes can refine their skills to become more powerful.
- 5 distinct dungeon regions: each with their own enemies, traps, and quests.
- Over 150 different items: including powerful wands, rings, weapons, and armor.
- 50+ different enemies, 30 different traps, and 5 bosses to test your skills.
- Unique artifacts, which grow in power as you use them.
- Updates, with new content roughly once a month.
ShatteredPD is a 100% free game. There are no advertisements, microtransactions, or paywalls. An optional donation to support the game unlocks a couple of fun and entertaining extras, but these are entirely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. Only on iOS and Steam the game is a one time purchase.

Heroes[]
The game offers five different Heroes to choose from, the same as original Pixel Dungeon and the Duelist. A 6th hero, the Cleric will be added in the next update (3.0.0).
- The Warrior endures extra damage with shielding granted by his broken seal. His seal can be moved between armors and transfers a single upgrade.
- The Mage is an arcane expert and carries a magical staff that's stronger than a wand. The staff can be imbued with any wand the Mage finds.
- The Rogue excels at hiding and finding hidden secrets. He can use his cloak of shadows to turn invisible at will.
- The Huntress is a master of thrown weapons and using the environment to her advantage. Her magical bow lets her make unlimited number of ranged attacks.
- The Duelist is a class focused on melee combat. She can perform a special attack depending on the weapon she is wielding.
- The Cleric has access to a variety of unique spells. Spells are mostly either magical attacks or support abilities they can use on themselves or allies.
Each hero starts with slightly different starting equipment including a unique class item, some heroes also have additional benefits. More perks can be gained by investing into talents, which are different for every hero. The player can also choose 1 of 2 hero subclasses after beating a boss at the end of chapter 2 and 1 of 3 heroic armor abilities after beating a boss at the end of chapter 4.
Each hero is unique, with their own lore and backstory. However, very little of this information has been revealed so far.
Equipment[]
Just like in original Pixel Dungeon, equipment is the main source of the Hero's power. Your weapon determines how much damage your Hero deals in combat, while armor reduces damage from enemy attacks. Missile weapons let you attack from a distance and have bonus accuracy, but need to be reclaimed after each attack. Most wands offer even more reliable ranged damage, never missing and ignoring enemy armor, but run out of charges and need a considerable time to recharge. Rings boost stats of your Hero or equipment. Artifacts usually don't mak you stronger in combat, but instead provide utility or resources. Most equipment you find in the dungeon is unidentified and as such, you won't know how many upgrades it has and whether it is cursed or not. You can identify equipment by wearing/using it for long enough or by reading a scroll of identify.
The gear acquired throughout the game likely won't be powerful enough to keep you alive; you have to upgrade it. This is usually done by reading a scroll of upgrade. Artifacts, however, have a unique upgrade mechanic, which is different for each one. In addition to being upgraded, weapons and armor can also be improved by imbuing them with an enchantment/glyph. This gives the item an additional effect (For example, weapon may set enemy on fire and armor can make you harder to spot) instead of just a stat increase.
Weapons and armor require certain strength to be used effectively, but the requirement can be lowered with upgrades. For each missing point of strength, the Hero receives 16.66% reduction to attack speed and accuracy for weapons or movement speed and evasion for armor. As such, it's generally a good idea to avoid equipping/using anything that's too heavy. Wands, rings and artifacts don't require any strength.
Any equipment you find except for missile weapons can be cursed. When equipped, any cursed gear binds to you and can't be unequipped until the curse is removed. Cursed rings and artifacts have harmful effects instead of beneficial ones. Cursed weapons and armor are afflicted with a random curse enchantment, but otherwise have the same properties as their uncursed counterpart. Cursed wands can't bind to their user since they don't need to be equipped, but instead produce a random chaotic effect when fired.
Consumables[]
Most consumables, function like they used to in vanilla Pixel Dungeon, but most of them received significant balance changes. New seeds have been added so every potion now has a corresponding seed and plant. A new category of consumables was also added, namely runestones. Each runestone corresponds to a scroll and usually has a similar but weaker effect. Food has been slightly buffed to make the hunger less deadly, some interesting new food items were added as well.
Alchemy allows the player to transform most consumables into different ones including many item types (like spells or elixirs), which aren't obtainable by other means.
Dungeon[]
The dungeon stages themselves have remain unchanged, i.e. they have a total of 26 floors, with each chapter having 5 floors. What spawns on each floor however is changed, with almost every floor having different spawns. At the end of each region, the Hero must defeat a boss to progress. While no new bosses were added, existing bossfights are more complex and take longer to kill. After beating the final boss, the player can choose to ascend back to the surface. Unlike in vanilla PD, this makes most enemies significantly stronger to pose a challenge to a Hero with endgame gear.
Metaprogression[]
In Shattered Pixel Dungeon (like in vanilla PD, most other PD mods, and most roguelike games), death is permanent. Not everything is lost thou, a dead Hero leaves behind remains, which the player can find on the next run to recover a random item they possessed in the previous one.
The game offers no permanent upgrades to make future runs easier, unlike vanilla PD and certain mods, where obtaining the Tome of Mastery permanently adds it into the starting inventory. Heroes other than the Warrior must be unlocked, but this is quite easy and can be done very quickly by an experienced player. The only other forms of unlockable content are challenges, seeded runs, and daily runs, which become accessible after winning the game for the first time. However, there exists permanent progression in the form of filling in the Journal and collecting badges. The game also keeps records of the 10 highest-scoring runs in the Rankings screen.
Development[]
Shattered Pixel Dungeon has been in development since 2014 and keeps receiving incremental updates ever since. Almost every aspect of vanilla PD has been changed or completely reworked and much of new content has been added.
Donations[]
You can support the creator by using in-game donation (Google Play version) or simply buying the game (Steam and App Store version). This unlock various small features such as Hero and equipment renaming. which staff has the +22 upgrade?
Throwing item/artifact idea, lucky dice. They are sold by the imp shop at the beginning of the demon halls and can do 0-99 damage, and after you buy the first die, the other 4 will appear as you go through the halls. After you get all 5 dice, you can do a special move called "Soul Bet", where it hurts you by 20 dmg or 50%, (whichever is lesser), and gives 5 random negative effects to a maximum of 5 enemies in range, and gives 5 random positive effects to you and your allies. The die (when thrown) will also never be able to one-shot, and does 50% damage against the boss.
Also, new Glyphs
Fleeting: When health drops below 10%, stun nearby enemies for 2 turns, and gives haste for 5 turns to hero. Has a cooldown of 200 turns, after health goes above 10%.
Blasting: 50% of damage absorbed by armor charges the armor's blast, upon reaching armortier+armorlevel*depth charge, it releases a blast equal to a scroll of retribution.
Illusory: When hit, has a (armorlevel/20) chance to spawn a single mirror image with the targeted debuff on it.
Menacing: Has a 1/200 chance when being hit to nullify all damage the enemy can do until it dies, applies dread to attacker, and applies terror for 10 turns to all other nearby enemies in a 5x5 radius. (cannot work on bosses or in boss rooms)
Prickly (curse): Prickly armors are covered in sharp spikes all over, but the spikes also are on the inside, often stabbing the wearer when moving around or getting hit. Has a 1/60 chance every turn while moving to do 1-2*herolevel damage, and a 1/30 chance to do the same thing on hit. Has a 1/20 chance to hurt enemies the same way when they hit you.
Cool ideas, in the wrong place.
Perhaps try contacting the Shattered Pixel Dungeon team. Or try the Discord.
I recommend this:
Skeleton Giant- ( They are tough enemies that can summon skeletons just like the ones in the prison every 2 turns. The SG should also have an attack that creates an avalanche in a 3x3 area and the avalanche deals 12-35 damage and has a 60% chance to cripple for 5-8 turns, a 25% chance to paralyze the player for 6 turns and a 10% chance to inflict bleeding for 2-4 turns. They should have 3 dodge and be sized at 2x3. Since the SG's attack is AoE there is no accuracy as if he tries to this you he can just smash you flat :). His attack range is 4 tiles. When at 60 HP
they become enraged and start shooting bones [3 every turn with low accuracy] and every 3 turns blocks all damage for 2 turns. When killed drops:
- 2 corpse dust (always)
- Skeleton Giants head ( This has 4 charges and can be used to summon 1 skeleton per turn to fight for you and recharges 1 charge every 5 turns.) (Always drops)
- 1 cursed ring of accuracy (60% chance)
This mob should bring a challenge players in Demon Halls and should spawn in the same room as demon spawners, making it harder to depower Yog-Dzewa.
COMMENT IF YOU LIKE THIS IDEA!
Sorry for the incorrect words, I was rushing
This seems a bit overtuned, imagine he paralyzes you for 6 turns and he hits you that many times because if it's treated like magic, then that would do 72-210 damage. Drops seem mostly useless, maybe if you're doing a necromancer build, but other than that nothing is really that useful. (Skeletons would likely die in 1 or 2 hits and deal almost no damage to DH mobs, and might also indirectly get a deathgaze fired at you.) Also there's quite a lot of missing info, how much health, armor, attack speed, and bleed damage do they have? Also them additionally becoming invulnerable for 2/3 turns is just stupid.
Ideas:
-Common Glove (helping you with the Dmg 2-3 of the trow ammo).
-Ultra potions (they have an infinite effect).
-Common hammer (tier 1. 5-10 Dmg 40% to Stun enemies 2 turns and they cant doge).
-CampFire (appear in every level with 25% or every 3 levels . it will accelerate your auto regen. you can coock with him. ghost and similar will be scared of the campfire).
-Rocks (Appear in every level with tramps 1 rock for every 4 traps. interact with this will drop 2 stones).
-Dead tree (trowing healing potions to they will re-grow and will drop 2-4 apples (apple. like small food but you can prepair apple pie (apple pie. more regen feeds like portion of food)) this tree have a 30% appear or every 3 levels).
-Need to change dew drips (looks like an ciclop eye).
-a method to repair the red seal (in the cauldron?).
-Rogue need a speed buff (he is an assasin. what he will survive with that slow speed? mabie when hes using his cap?).
-Water bottle (appear with 25-20% probably. you can use it to combine with one seed to make an seed equivalent potión).
-Every bosses can drop an unique upgadre objet.
That all for now pls comment if you agree.
:)
Sorry for my bad english
Great idea.
Most of that seems way too overpowered. And if you choose the free-runner subclass for the rogue, you do get a speed boost.
This fandom should be updated there are other enimies like sewer snake slime DM -100 etc. etc. etc.
I updated and lost all my saved characters and rankings!!!! What the hell???
Anyway this is a roguelike game so that's not important i think
but if you're a badge collector so that will be so sad.
There should be a strategies and tips page
Terrible game experience... the start is extremely boring and game is more based on luck than skill.
I think we know
He has a point... the game could be better. But simps are simps.
You must not have the patience to accept losing sometimes and to actually get better at the game. If you really cared enough to criticize the game and say that it is bad, why not actually try to accept a loss, move on, and try again?
Thatcoolkiid is right, you can't just play once, lose and then never play again.
Where are the new fists?
In the battle with the final boss
Someone deleted everything WHY
Why would you do this IP: 45.81.101.18?!
Please someone revert it IDK how and frankly I don't want to tamper with anything in case there is even a slim chance that I can break something.
Tried my best, might still be a bit messy though. Have a good day.
Thank you
(no commentary)
You used a stone of teleportation (or however it's called, but basically the one that acts like an ender pearl), didn't you?
Oh wait your levitation could have expired while you were inside.
Well it's not like it matters, the remains would activate the traps once searched regardless.
They actually wouldn't, iirc. The item from a heap or container does not press the tile it has spawned on.
Lol just happy that i have a fire potion
Dang lol
Seeing as it's been 3 weeks by now this is probably irrelevant to that run, but note that in this case you simply have to search for hidden doors. Even after the recent levelgen changes I believe that the following still holds true: the starting and end rooms have at least 2 exits out of them. At the very least, there is no chance to ever get softlocked due to levelgen, aside from purposefully locking yourself in a distant well room on a rotberry plant quest floor.
Considering how they wrote they're glad to have a potion of liquid flame, I think this was a bookshelf hidden compartment (the only instance of naturally spawning stones of enchantment, at least in former versions).
Your way of browsing the wiki probably doesn't display this correctly, so I'll say that the opening post had an image displaying the Hero in the starting room with no doors present and only a barricade room.
Vertigo trap+something like a big hole=falling...=died
If ıt become JUST wait
Ello.
Hi
This is better than normal pixel dungeon
Yep think so bcs u dont need to dowland, ıt is a quick game on google play games
And it have more enemies and better graphicks
Crazy Thief Spawning in Sewers Dunegon region?
I don't know how it became so big its just from mobile.
Things like this are intended, and really any mob from the above levels has a small chance of spawning in the below levels.
Not quite any mob, in Shattered only a select few ones can, as far as I remember - for example, you will now never encounter a skeleton in the sewers.
Yes you can Ive encountered one before
I saw one crazy thief too in sewers
You can Cheese Goo With Wand Of Earth, Once you summoned rock golem they should fight Until one dies and If golem Dies you could use the wand again to summon another golem as long as rock armored isn't less than required to make golem(Can be found on the rock armor Effect Info) and goo doesnt Pump it self when fighting rock golem from my experience. wait why am i saying this? Goo isnt that Hard of a boss, You can cheese it with spear and Ring of Haste, I THINK IT CAN EASILY BE CHEESED HOW EVER you want so nvm
Yes its ez
But rings and wands aren't so common in the sewers.
The cloak of shadows is super OP against Goo. When he pumps himself up, just attack him until he is ready to do the attack, and then activate the cloak and he will stop charging, and then just attack him again and keep doing this until he dies
I really like the casual game. I had stage 4 cancer and the chemo has taken some of the feeling in my finger tips, but I can still play this delightful game on my phone. Thank you for making this game.
Wait wut
They had actual cancer. That's what.
