Juan was a wild caught Commerson's dolphin living at Aquatica Orlando. He was captured on November 23, 1983 at the estimated age of 5, and he was sold and moved to SeaWorld San Diego on December 13, 1983. Juan was the dominant male for much of his time there, siring many calves between 1987 and 2009. He moved to Aquatica Orlando alongside Betsy and his daughter, Ringer, on January 10, 2016. He was the dominant male of Aquatica Orlando as well, and he was known for behaviors such as perimeter swims. Juan could be identified by the "widow's peak" on the back of his head. He had a very strong preference for the use of his left pectoral fin, causing serrations which were not present on the right. On January 21, 2025, Juan died at the estimated age of 46, making him the oldest known Commerson's dolphin.
