Suspected Dover drug death would be sixth of 2018

DOVER — A 30-year-old man's death is being investigated by city police and the state medical examiner as a suspected overdose, according to police.

Scott Herterich died Monday. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Dover police and fire and rescue personnel responded to Herterich’s residence on Hubbard Road after a family friend reported finding him unresponsive. Herterich was found to be deceased.

If Herterich’s death is confirmed as a drug overdose, it will be the sixth of 2018 in Dover, which had 13 suspected drug-related deaths in 2017, police said.
