Beta Lobby A is an area in B3313.
Description[]
The area is traversed similarly to the vanilla Super Mario 64 castle lobby, but the entrance to the secret slide along with the upstairs are missing. All doors lead to paintings, while the top double doors that originally went to the upstairs now leads to a room with a Bowser painting but also a trapdoor, and the middle doors at the bottom lead to a hallway with another single door at the end of it. The numbered doors from left to right are labeled 3, 1, 2, and 4.
The main room's layout is identical to the other beta lobbies.
Origins[]
The main room's model is taken directly from The Preservation Project's Spaceworld '95 demo build recreation of Super Mario 64, with some discrepancies in others regarding wall textures, which are also taken from the game's beta or vanilla files, along with the paintings.
The music playing is "Inside Castle Walls" from "Super Mario 64".
This version has no reverb.
Warps[]
Two-way[]
- Castle Grounds: Enter the double door at the back.
- Uncanny Courtyard: Enter one of the middle doors and then the one at the end.

- Snow Slider (B-Roll): Enter the leftmost door and then the painting.
- Mountain (B-Roll): Enter the second door from the left and then the painting.
- Fire Bubble (B-Roll): Enter the second door from the right and then the painting.

- Beta Lobby B: Enter the double door at the top and then the trapdoor in front of the Bowser painting (After collecting any Red Stars).
- The Star: With 10 stars, press the C-Up button in the middle of the main room and look at the ceiling (similarly to how you would access the wing cap stage in vanilla SM64).

Trivia[]
- The strange noise that plays sometimes when entering doors is a reference to this particular beta footage.
- Like the other beta lobbies in v0.4, there was a staircase on the room accessed via the middle doors at the bottom.
- This area was used for the ending starting at v0.4.7 and the ending was moved to Castle Grounds starting from v0.7 onward.
- In v0.8.9, this area plays the arrangement of "Entrance" used in Parallel Lobby.
- In E3313, the layout of the area looked mostly similar to Vanilla Lobby.

It took me 330 stars to realize that "Beta Lobby A is literally the same as Beta Lobby E, but different", which is the most B3313 sentence I could think, so I had collected all Shoshinkai stars, but not all B-Roll stars.
The v0.4 one looks like a modified Funky Deliah 95 castle.
How come Unabandoned put the B-Roll Water Land in the Shoshinkai lobby, and the Shoshinkai Water Land in the B-Roll lobby?
Dunno, very strange.
I don't think that's an image of beta lobby a...
Yea
It actually happens to be a photo of Beta Lobby B, in fact.
