Wiggler's Forest Fortress

Wiggler's Forest Fortress is an area in B3313.

Description[]

The grassy area is divided into two sections, one higher and one lower. The higher section contains half-fallen ruins with two pools of water beneath them. The boss Wiggler crawls around on the roof of the tallest structure. The lower section of the level is covered with a layer of mist. Climbing down giant trees allows the player to descend into the valley, where there is a lake. Besides the boss and smaller Wigglers, the area is inhabited by Goombas, Lakitu, and Spinies.

The area was redesigned in v0.9. In prior versions of B3313, the player spawned in a grassy field with small Wigglers, Big Goombas, Bob-ombs, Lakitu, and Spinies. Wiggler's fortress was a large, blocky structure with the entrance up a series of ramps, guarded by two stationary Bob-ombs and pillars with flames on top. The arena for the Wiggler boss fight is inside.

Origins[]

The area used in v0.9 onwards is an original creation by PatCangy. The area in earlier versions was created by usernamesarespiders.

The music playing is the original composition "Dire, Dire Loss" by NewSupKaizo55.

Trivia[]

• In v1.0 and later versions, Wiggler appears to consist of only a head, one body segment, and two feet. However, he actually still has a full body, with the additional segments being untextured and invisible. The player can still take damage from the invisible parts.
• In v0.9 and later, after Wiggler is defeated, he shrinks and falls down through the roof of the ruins and the ground below. Although he is not visible, the sound of him walking around can still be heard when the player stands near the pool under the ruins.
• There is a unused clone of this area in v0.5.6-v0.7; it was removed in Christmas Build. The clone was placed in Course 15, Area ID 2. The clone features a couple of distinct differences from its used counterpart.
