The streets in Brighton and Hove with the lowest average property prices in 2024 have been revealed.

According to HM Land Registry Open Data, the top five cheapest streets based on average property sales were Fleet Street (£112,500), Eastern Road (£116,333), Selborne Place (£125,800), Shelldale Road (£127,500), and Charlotte Street (£130,000).

3. Selborne Place – £125,800

4. Shelldale Road – £127,500

5. Charlotte Street – £130,000

However, most of these streets only saw one transaction during 2024.

When considering streets with at least two property sales, the top five list changes to Eastern Road (£116,333), Mafeking Road (£145,000), Upper Wellington Road (£173,500), Woburn Place (£173,750), and Stroudley Road (£186,000).

The Office for National Statistics said: "Average house price in Brighton and Hove was £433,000 in November 2024.

"Private rents rose to an average of £1,778 in December 2024, an annual increase of 5.0 per cent from £1,693 in December 2023.

"For each property type, average prices as of November 2024 in Brighton and Hove were: Detached properties: £807,000, Semi-detached properties: £535,000, Terraced properties: £482,000, Flats and maisonettes: £341,000.

"By how many bedrooms there are in a property, average rents as of December 2024 in Brighton and Hove were: One bedroom: £1,155, Two bedrooms: £1,484, Three bedrooms: £1,760, Four or more bedrooms: £2,466.

"Taking the data instead by property type, average rents were: Flats and maisonettes: £1,350, Terraced properties: £1,958, Semi-detached properties: £1,995, Detached properties: £2,203."
