Frosty Highlands

Frosty Highlands is an area in B3313.

Description[]

The player spawns at the bottom of the area, next to a hut reminiscent of those found on Cool, Cool Mountain in the vanilla game. There are two slopes leading to the next level, one of them steeper but easily ascend-able with the usage of a Koopa shell. The next level contains a cliff with checkered platforms next to it leading to a pipe and a massive hole in a wall. Higher above, some clouds surround the top of the mountain.

Origins[]

The area's layout is mostly an original creation, heavily inspired by Cool, Cool Mountain and its beta iterations. Textures are taken from the aforementioned beta versions, as well as some from the vanilla game.

The music playing is Bob-Omb Battlefield, but with Cool Cool Mountain instruments.

Stars[]

This area has 3 stars to collect:

• Collect 8 red coins.
• Break the item box at the top of the mountain.
• (v0.9) A star appears above a chimney on a cloud near the top of the mountain, if the player has collected 30 stars.
• (v1.0+) This cloud star is now a green star, appearing after the player has collected 120 stars.

• Cold, Cold Crevasse: Go through the ominous opening in the brick wall, guarded by a Bob-omb Buddy until v0.9, where he is replaced by a sign.
• Snowman's Land (beta): Go through the pipe that the checkered platforms lead to.

Trivia[]

• In v0.6.2 this area had identical copies in different locations. It now only exists in one location due to star ID limitations.
• If ACT 1 is activated, a yellow enemy Bob-omb appears marching in the doorway of the cabin directly to the player's left upon warping into the course.
