Random rambling: I would like to take this opportunity to publicly announce that I'm stepping down from my position from special working group for definitions in the Cardano Constitution. When I took the role, was told the time schedules would be cycled to accommodate everyone. The first meeting worked with my schedule. It did not work with a few people, but they offered to make sacrifices. So okay. I would do the same. Fair is fair. Okay. The second meeting was not as "easy" as it was 2 am in my timezone. While preparing for it at 1 am, it was cancelled because one of the delegates was sick. Okay, understandable. But then again, the 3rd meeting was moved again. At this point, I had my alternate take over because he works nights, whereas this is 3 am in my timezone. Was told that workshop was moved too. Then, all the deadlines kept being moved and people are expected to work around the holidays... except that there are no holidays where I live. Christmas day and New Year are just normal days here in Korea. I have shit to do. And even if I was in Manila, it's almost seen as taboo to be working on Christmas to New Year as this is supposed to be days you focus on your family. Overall, the whole thing has been a bit of a mess. While I still wanted to help contribute to this, it seemed that another string of workshops would be required again that would go for 5 days straight from what is essentially 3 am to 6 am everyday in my local time zone. I guess the temperature checks to see if these things align with all the attendees stopped happening as long as it benefits the more "important" members of Cardano ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ I've made my point crystal clear as to how my community feels about this. "Just put it on-chain. We don't care anymore". Most of us would have preferred a single page document, but I stepped down from protesting that point out of respect for all the work put into it. In retrospect, maybe I should have protested more... Has become pretty clear that this chain governance is becoming less people oriented, and more bureaucracy focused. In that regard, you guys clearly don't need me. I signed yes as a DREP (Delegated Representative), but as a dRep (decentralized Representative), I'm now on the fence if I want to see this on-chain. It hasn't really helped with how we were told that Cardano events would be more global this year, and how the online poll by our glorious leader was basically led to an overwhelming victory to hold another Cardano event in Vegas, skipping Singapore and the developing world completely once again. And with this insanity of now labeling our chain whom we fought so hard to be recognized as a "global chain" empowering the voices of the developing world as a "US crypto", you really don't want people like me in your new world order. Now, I'm not saying the people still working on the constitution and developing intersect are bad people. I believe they're good people that want the best for Cardano. The problem is that there is a clear bias for the current Cardano leadership to benefit the western elite, and I'm tired of pretending that there isn't. Frankly, most of you have lost the plot and I know many just want $ADA to go back to ATH so you can sell and never come back. I'm not there yet. But I am going to prioritize my time better. I will not be going with the flow as much as I have been, whether to my benefit or disadvantage.
