2. Another emotional workation theatric special to ram through a subpar deliverable? suggested a gathering for DReps in Denver in late February. Even if proposed with the best intentions, surely someone on the called this out as a bad idea? If not, I'll do it below 1. IOG has an office in Denver. IOG subsidiaries have a stake in receiving budget. Conflict of interest much? 2. Traveling is expensive & visas are a challenge for most of the world - esp. to the USA. This is biased to the largest DReps who happen to be from the Global North. 3. The deliverable from the last big in-person event was subpar (technically & legally). It went through bc of peer pressure, ego flattering, literal wining & dining. Let's not forget the predefined & short period of the event, in which very few people could afford to stay on longer and deliberate toward a solid constitution draft. So skip the resource and time-intensive physical gathering(s). Host online meetings across timezones, non-stop for weeks on end. We've got a blockchain to build and get adopted. PS: how do you include include "all DReps" if someone can literally sign-up as one on the day? Or a DRep being an organisation or a collective? Or a DRep not wanting to be doxxed. this is on-chain governance, the less we try to bring it into the swamp, the faster we'll succeed
