More vacant Gary schools sold; city biggest buyer

The Gary Community School Corp. is continuing to shed itself of vacant, crumbling schools that have become community eyesores and havens for criminal activity.

Last week, the district announced the sale of 14 schools and properties and listed sales of six other schools as pending.
