‘Fraudster’ Selman Turk claims he met Prince Andrew a decade ago

A Turkish businessman alleged to have given the Duke of York £1 million of embezzled money has broken his silence.

Selman Turk, who is accused of a £40 million fraud, said he was introduced to Prince Andrew years earlier than previously thought and that the prince had met his children.

Andrew found himself involved in a High Court fraud case after he received more than £1 million linked to Turk, including £750,000 that was described as a wedding gift for his elder daughter, Princess Beatrice.

There is no suggestion of wrongdoing on the duke’s part or that of his daughter. It had been reported that a convicted Libyan gun smuggler introduced the men in 2019 but Turk told The Times they had met much
