The Froot Cabal, also known as the Janny Cabal, refers to the current group of people who control Soyjak.party and its affiliated websites, led by Froot. It includes administrators, managers, developers, moderators, janitors, and other individuals involved in the management of the Soyjak.party family of websites. Nearly all members of this inner circle are fiercely loyal to Froot, and will do all that he says. Many members are anonymous, or use multiple name identities at once, making the total number of Cabal members difficult to determine.

The group is known for its tight grip over soy culture, and for its punishments given to individuals who attempt to gain control of the Soysphere who aren’t among the cabal’s ranks, as well as punishments given to members who refuse to take orders or think differently from the rest of the cabal. Users who call the cabal out are often harassed by the group via bans, gaslighting, editing of posts/user profiles, and censorship.

Origins and history[edit | edit source]

The origins of the group predate Froot’s adminship. Sometime during the late Kuz era (spring 2023), KolymaNET’s control over the sharty was weakening. A new administration, lead by the manager Doll, filled in the power vacuum left by the Kuz administration.

After the Soypocalypse, a wealthy individual known as Froot purchased the sharty, and was appointed as the head admin, while Doll became the manager and Angeleno the developer. This system was known as the Soyumvirate, and the newly created Froot administration quickly began its operations.

The Froot cabal was officially established in late 2023, during the development of Five Nights at Cobson's, when a discord server was made by the Froot administration for the development of the game. This server and its members later became the frootcord, which was the main way the staff communicated for a long while, and some speculate they still congregate on discord to this day.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The closely-knit nature of the Froot cabal has set some themes and characteristics for members of the group and how they operate. Here are some of the common behaviors and practices which are prevalent among the group:

  • Common interest: Members of the cabal must pledge strict allegiance to the top and comply with of their ideas and policies. Disagreements and infighting among the group is perhaps its greatest weakness, so to ensure another soypocalypse or a coup doesn’t happen, users who attempt to gain special privileges such as staff positions who are not a part of the cabal or who’s interests and goals directly contradict those of the cabal are barred from entering or are given very restricted privileges/given privileges for a very short period of time.
  • ”Good” and “bad” users: In a similar fashion, a sort of social credit system is in place on the sharty and it’s affiliate sites to build profiles on and differentiate “good” and “bad” users. “Good” users hold similar interests, opinions, and mannerisms to that of the cabal, and don’t speak out against or criticize the administration in any way. “Bad” users hold interests, opinions, and mannerisms which are foreign or against the ambitions of the cabal, and regularly criticize and make fun of the administration and its members. Good users are likely to be appointed to a high position within the soysphere and become future members of the cabal, while they also receive very little if not any punishment at all for breaking a rule, whereas bad users are prohibited from achieving any sort of authority within the sites’ ranks and are likely to be severely punished for breaking the same rule which the good user broke and received no punishment for.
  • Gayops: The Froot Cabal loves performing operations against their enemies such as splinter sites or detractors, with tactics including implementing wordfilters to restrict forbidden opinions, banning/editing the posts of and changing the color of the capcode/usernames of enemy users, and spamming, DDOSing, mass reporting, and subverting/taking control of enemy splinters (this happened to the shemmy for example). Many trends, memes, events, words and catchphrases, drama, and other things that spread on the sharty are created and artificially made popular by by the Froot cabal to further the group’s goals and increase PPH.
  • Gaslighting: Whatever is done by the cabal is done solely to benefit themselves, and they care very little about the well being of users or the state of the website. As thus, whenever a crisis befalls the sharty, excuses are made by staff members which usually go something like “It’s not that big of a deal”, “You guys are overreacting”, “Nothing happened”, “Nobody was available”, and other ways of refusing to acknowledge any mistakes and wrongdoings made by cabal members.
  • Quantity over quality: The cabal’s moderation policies consist of allowing extremely low quality and at times rule-breaking material for the sake of high PPH (posts per hour) and more active users, due to, again, the lack of care for the state of the site beyond post counts, ad revenue, and rhetoric which directly attacks the cabal itself. Users with a high post count who post something rule-breaking or provocative are far less likely to be punished, whereas less active users who post the same material can be conveniently sacrificed without decreasing the daily number of posts. This allows them to retain the highest number of PPH and active users, all while banning the mildest of troublemakers to create the illusion of effective moderation. This ties in with social credit system implemented earlier, as users with high post counts are typically seen seen as “good” users and are less likely to be punished for breaking a rule which the less active and “bad” users broke and received a permaban for.
  • Steam and video games:

The Froot Cabal members are IRL soyboys who actively congregate with each other on various game servers as well as on Steam (basically discord). Many of them host game servers themselves, and members of the cabal who preform the requested tasks of the higher-ups are rewarded with some kind of in-game reward and members who detract have their game accounts punished. Lots of bribery also goes on behind the scenes, where cabal members and soyteens bribe each other with Steam purchases in order to perform certain tasts or hand out privileges. This is especially dangerous, as having an offsite gaming platform similar to Discord where cabal members and users can bribe each other with offers to have tasks/requests fulfilled on the soysphere allows users to act and perform actions without common judgment and form niches with other users similar to discord servers. A scandal exposed in January involving a user named ‘X Immigrant’ having a homoerotic relationship with another user on Steam (both of them were under the age of 18, mind you) unearthed the dangers of allowing this system to persist, we can assume that this is just the tip of the iceberg and that there are for more dirty happenings going on behind the scenes on this platform.

These are just some of the examples of corruption and ratfucking which go on behind the scenes of the soysphere. There’s likely even more egregious things going on behind your back, so keep a close eye on patterns and other hints of froot cabal covertion.

Members and hierarchy[edit | edit source]

Here is a lost of known and suspected members and the ranks they are in. Membership of the lower ranks is difficult to determine and is as of now speculation, but it is safe to assume that the majority of janitors on the soysphere are at least involved with the cabal in one way or another.

The cabal structure is split into 3 sectors, “ownership”, “moderation”, and “development”, with each sector having an appointed leader at the top:

The top[edit | edit source]

These are the elites of the cabal, they can do anything they want and face no consequences, and they dictate and influence pretty much every aspect of the modern soysphere. Members of the lower ranks are required to follow all orders from this rank, and they mostly decide who gets to join or is removed from the cabal:

  • Froot: The official owner of the soysphere, as well as the head admin. He hosts and financially owns and supports all of the soysphere sites. Head of the “ownership” sector.
  • 9a0c: Froot's right-hand man; runs the elections in /dem/ and sends out Soygem Passes. Censored the Tama article to remove all mentions of the shoally (where xhe came from) because he transhearts gooning to xer.
  • Doll: Manager of all the soysphere and head of moderation. Most decisions regarding the sites and the cabal are made or influenced by him, head of the “moderation” sector.
  • Mud/quote/Ballos/Whatever you want to call him: The top developer of the soysphere, handles scripts and code and other mechanical aspects of the sites. Took over the position after nudev allegedly resigned, and he himself has also supposedly stepped down. Head of the “development” sector.

The middle[edit | edit source]

This is the intermediary section. Members here can make some decisions, but are overall not vital to the sites’ performance aside from making sure the tasks of the higher ups are carried out:

  • Mustard: Developer, russian foid and alleged aguguposter. Part of the development sector.
  • Mist: Soysphere mod, owner of soycraft and soytopia, foid who oversees many events. Part of the moderation and development sectors.
  • Thanos: Shadowy gimmick admin, is also involved with events. Possibly affiliated with mist. Part of the development sector.
  • Steve: Soyjak blog mod and ownder of some game servers, encyclopedia dramatica forums immigrant, part of the moderation and development sectors.
  • Baqqrih: Soyblog admin and longtime mod, part of moderation sector
  • Broot: Creator and former owner of the soyjak.blog, gave control of his site to the froot cabal in exchange to have it be an official sharty affiliate site and not a splinter. Part of the moderation and development sectors, formerly part of the ownership sector.
  • SprokemowerMan - Head admin of the 'ki and is therefore able to rewrite soystory to Froot's liking.

The bottom[edit | edit source]

Members on this level hold little power and only serve to follow the orders of higher-ups. Recruitment is secretive and a full member list is difficult to write as if now, but it is safe to assume that most staff you meet on any of the sites fall into this tier of the froot cabal:

  • 06eb: Active sharty mod, suspected foid, frogposter. Moderation sector.
  • Doddermodd: Former FNAC developer and current Frootist admin of the shemmy, ensuring the splinter no longer poses a threat to the froot cabal. Ownership sector.

Theories[edit | edit source]

The obscurity of the group leads many soyteens to speculate on the how’s and why’s of it all. Here are some theories regarding the Froot cabal.

Extension of KolymaNET[edit | edit source]

A secretive group holding power over soyjak culture, lead by a busy rich guy who owns the sharty and performs gayops and censorship of dissidents? That sounds an awful lot like KolymaNET! The similarities between the Froot cabal and kolyma leads some soyteens to believe that kolymaNEt never shut down but instead rebranded and continued operations by changing the named and personas of all the members. The whole “Carter” situation and conflict between the Froot administration and Kuz during the 4th Soyvil War could have also been a false flag by the Froot cabal to make it seem that Froot and Kuz are different individuals. This would explain Doll’s dislike of Kuz despite historically having very close ties with him, as this would further distance the “old Kuz” from the “new Kuz” in order to fool the soyteen populace into believing Kuz left.

Here are some facts that give credence to this theory:

  • It is known that Froot was in contact with and had very close ties to both Doll and Angeleno prior to the soypocalypse, meaning they could have been secretly planning a Kuz comeback with a new persona. This would explain why Red was allowed to stay in management despite supposedly being removed, in order to initiate the soypocalypse so the “new kolyma” could fully take over while the soyteens are distracted by the chaos. Having at least one prominent kolyma member (in this case Doll) retain their old persona while the rest adopt new ones would be vital in not raising suspicion, because if all kolyma members disappeared and where all replaced with brand new literal whos, this would easily raise suspicion and the larp would be too obvious.
  • Dekuzification also took place to further distance the new Froot kolyma from the old one, as to not raise any suspicion and to further play into the anti-Kuz larp.
  • If you pay close attention, you will see that Kuz and Froot share very similar writing styles. When you compare the two’s serious and shitposting tones of voice, you will see that they are nearly identical, which may be the reason why Froot has barely been posting lately, so that nobody will catch on.
  • Both Kuz and Froot live using and helped popularize terminology and lingo associated with Trump, maga and qanon, although many users do this and its not much of a smoking gun its stilla clue that they could in fact be the same person. Kuz became a big Trump fan after “leaving” the sharty so its natural that he couldn’t help let a little of that shine through his Froot persona.
  • After Kuz “left” and Doll took over in late Spring 2023, Kuz developed a heavy dislike for soylita despite allowing it on the site his whole administration. He was very vocal on this newfound hatred for soylita, and when the soypocalpse happened the main culprit just so happened to be a soylita poster, and furthermore once Froot came into power, one of the very first things was... can you guess? If you guessed “Ban soylita”, you’d be correct, and this was to further distance the “old” shitlita infested kolyma with the “new” anti-shitlita kolyma.
  • All the developers after Kuz (Angeleno, nudev, and then ballos) all shared very similar writing styles, used multiple different names for themselves, and all supposedly “resigned”. This repetitive behavior could imply that Angeleno along with other KolymaNET employees never left and in fact take up new personas and dump them for new ones at will.
  • Notice how Froot never shares his voice? Could be because if he did we’d notice that his voice sounds like Kuz’s.
  • Froot’s sharty is a moneymaker, whether it be the implementation of ads on the sharty and ‘ru, the price of FNAC, or the embedded cryptominers implemented by nudev, the soysphere is made to stack up revenue. Since Kolyma was a covert-style business which made money in shady ways, Froot’s sharty is meant to be the continuation of this money-gathering (Kuz was found to be working on crypto and NFTs in July, coincidentally enough).

Federal agency[edit | edit source]

This theory ties in with the idea that the sharty is a honeypot for monitoring and tinkering around with groups of online users. These claims have been around since the day the sharty was founded, but Kuz, Doll, and Froot have all claimed that they have direct contact with law enforcement and have given information to them in some cases, so this theory may have more credit to it than you might think. This could also explain why they allow extremist content on the site, as to monitor these groups for research or operations (optimistic take).

Child grooming[edit | edit source]

Going back to the frootcord and steam, the idea that the froot cabal could be extorting users, potentially minors as well, on the internet. Froot has admitting to getting some jannies in the early Froot era to write his name on their bodies for approval, which is creepy to say the least.
