In 8.2 the Nullification Dynamo Azerite Essence minor passive shield would lose health and eventually explode removing the shield around your character and removing the UI icon from your buff bar.

Now in 8.3 the shield stays around your character and the buff bar icon sits on you at 0 HP. The shield still explodes and deals damage but no longer absorbs anything since it’s sitting at 0 HP.

This is clearly wrong, is inconsistent with the 8.2 effect, and leads the player to believe they are protected when they aren’t.

As a quick sanity buff.

I checked this under the following conditions.

  1. Reloaded my UI with /console reloadui
  2. Removed all addons and restarted the game.
  3. Tested it on a secondary computer.

I can’t see how this could be anything on my side.

I’ll add the minor inconvenience that they also block trying to click summons on a person wearing the shield.

Have to get your camera almost top down or wait for the passive shield to fall off.

For what it’s worth, I’m not experiencing this issue with the Rank 2 Nullification Dynamo shield.

Interesting. It’s definitely doing this with rank 3 for me.

This is still occurring and is really pretty annoying.
Rank 3 passive hits 0 hp, explodes, and keeps the shield and buff on your character until it times out.

It makes you think you’re protected by the shield when you aren’t.
This didn’t happen in 8.2.
