As much as I joke about the US annexing Greenland and Canada, the reality is that they are sovereign nations with great people and centuries of culture. While I don't believe it is the actual intent of the United States to acquire these countries- simply leverage for renegotiation of prior relationships- I can understand how distressing these statements can be to some living in those countries. Thus, I apologize for my prior statements in jest and will refrain from commenting on the recent hardball tactics the US is using.
