I don't hate it, I'm disappointed. I remember the first time I played ac1 when it came out I was amazed and it improved in it's sequels. Then ac syndicate came out and tone of the game didn't feel right. Origins was okay odyssey is a fun game but it's not an ac game. Valhalla just sucked finally mirage was just too short with boring character with bad story pacing. So yea kinda disappointed seeing what it's become won't be playing it.

100% agree. AC blow me away especially since I was really into ancient/medieval history at the time. AC2 and AC Brotherhood was amazing sequels and AC Black Flag was set the standard for a fun pirate game. Also, I felt that AC Unity was a good game once they patched it. Its a pity it released in such a broken state.

I like this period of history very much (and I have also read a lot of historical materials and novels in this area).
Actually, I don't dislike Yasuke being the protagonist, it's a very interesting perspective to explain this period of history.

the art is interesting despite the lazy attempt to use historical facts for the game. the worse is the "historians" trying to alter wikipedia to suit their ideas.

It's not the art division's fault, they're given 'historical sources' (if we gonna call it that) with dubious credibility, as well as illegitimate and wrong cultural direction. Then again, they chose a historian with Japanese Homosexual History as their major instead of an actual credible one, so...

I was hoping something in the artbook would explain the batshit insanity with the seasons. The game has a lot of footage that shows plants that grow in spring, fall and summer at the same time, but there's not much about the seasons in the artbook.
Also having yasuke be an mc is dumb but the art on pg 44 is so good, shame he doesn't look like it in the game at all.
