Cardano node 10.1.1 release published and approved for mainnet usage! This is the version for HF to Chang#2. Please make sure to get your nodes updated, especially on preview which we plan on forking later this week. Details here:
We're about to start a new era in Cardano. One governed by the community DReps. This is your absolute last call to delegate to someone you trust or become a DRep before the Hard Fork. With the SPO threshold met and CC deliberating, this is going to come fast! You've been warned!
Plomin Hard Fork executed successfully! Governance is live! Cardano is now in all your hands!
The secret about Ada is there is no endgame. We want to be the financial backbone of all blockchains and eventually governments and every individual on earth. The exit strategy doesn't exist.

I have to preface with this is not the opinion of IOG, but I highly recommend anyone voting in Cardano Catalyst ecosystem to vote for Five Binaries open sourcing of Blockfrost. This is by in large the best API to the Cardano blockchain, and I'd really like to see it win!
#Cardano preproduction environment forked! Only mainnet left to go! Get your engines ready for September 1st!!!

Final transaction is in! All 7 keys accounted for a unanimous decision to fork into Chang (Conway era)!!! Thanks everyone for joining us on this long journey to governance! This is just the first step!
We have the community, we have the builders, we have the technology. All we're missing from flipping #Bitcoin is one big world player to dive in! #Argentina
Wow folks! 73.3% on 10.1.4 node updates! We are almost there! Only 6.7% to go to reach an 80% comfort level! Lets do this!!!
I think we as a community should support paying and the ikigai folks back their deposit as a treasury withdrawal after the HF. What does everyone else think?

This is fixed in Chang+1 to prevent submission without a registered on-chain stake address. That being said, given that you were willing to be a pioneer on this stuff, I would support adding the first line to the budget withdrawal to give you your funds back.
Come learn about Leios progress folks! Take a break from the drama and learn about the future of scalability with Cardano!!!

Leios monthly update is usually on the last Wednesday of the Month. Due to the season holiday, we're doing it one week earlier this month.
So, it's tomorrow (Wed, 17th Dec), 2GMT, and it's on an open google meet, here: meet.google.com/qhx-joxe-rmz
Since block 10770545 a few hours ago, the Hard Fork Combinator is certain that the hard fork to Conway will happen. One consequence of this is that the HFC started to answer time-related queries about the next epoch knowing the slot-length in the next epoch won't change!
Buenos Aires was amazing! So much energy with the community. Even when we had disagreements, everyone worked together to accomplish this amazing feat. For those that aren't 100% happy with the results, it's okay, this is just the start, and we have many opportunities ahead!
Taking a much needed travel break spending time with family, but hope everyone is having a good time traveling to #dubai for #CardanoSummit2024!!!
I credit joining for this major turnaround this year. He was amazing at a year ago, he did great things for his short time there and now we see blossoming into its full potential.

The bigger question relevant to Cardano is actually whether a people run ecosystem stands a chance against corporate run ones. Most of the other discussions are meant to distract from this. It’s a sensitive question because answering no means crypto achieved nothing post Bitcoin
I like Nicolas. We have our disagreements, especially when it comes to governance and roles of founding entities in this new chapter. That being said, I strongly recommend watching his webinar. He produces good content. We don't have to agree on everything for me to promote this

I'm happy to announce we have SIGs in Intersect now! These are going to be low-process, mostly async, with occasionally optional presentations/AMAs. We need people to join these! More details below for how to get involved in the 4 we've setup!

I am excited to attend the Cardano Constitutional Convention #BuildingTogether
Lots of folks can say they got a picture with but only a handful have had the privilege to get one with the wizard behind the curtains, Duncan!
I need to follow more Cardano SPOs and developers. My feed is getting overwhelmed with politics :)
Met for the first time yesterday! If you couldn't tell, he's really tall
very humble guy during drep debate encouraging his delegators to move their delegation to other dreps in the ecosystem!
We have an advantage ethereum doesn't: native tokens. Scaling on an L2 is much easier, locking some tokens in a script on Cardano, and then distributing them to the new owners after the activity on the L2 is done. The L2 is just an abstraction of the value held on L1.

At Cardano we have the chance to learn from other chains mistakes.
We need to head to this warning about ETH, and we'll explode. x.com/nikzh/status/1…
My hope is this is the last fund that #opensource developers building things the community uses have to go to #Catalyst. We should have a separate funding source from the treasury maintaining the code people use and #Catalyst should be shrunk down to an innovation fund.

I'm completely perplexed at what this token even does... You might want to clarify that before launching a token.

Good job updating to 10.1.4 SPOs! Last epoch ending yesterday we were at 5.4% of blocks made using 10.1.4. This epoch, 39.7% of blocks have been made using 10.1.4! Thanks all for your quick upgrade efforts! Lets see if we can hit 50% by the end of this epoch!
Replying to
No, cardano companies and individuals can do this all they want. Cardano as a protocol utilizing treasury money should stay out of world politics please!
