Becoming a merchant that can convey the charm of sake to the present and connect it to the future
We continually reflect on the role of a sake merchant alongside people and the changing times, always facing it with sincerity.
We strive to remain indispensable, no matter the time. We cherish the connection with humanity and the essence of our land, and the innovations that take place at the dining table.
It would be a joy to contribute to a cycle where sake becomes even more captivating and linked to the future.
IMADEYA is the kind of sake merchant that wishes to stay close to the various dining moments in people's daily lives.

Officer introduction Member

Representative Director and President Shuichi Ogura
Born in Togane, Chiba Prefecture in 1961, he is the eldest son of his family's IMADEYA business. From an early age, he played baseball and soccer, and in college he joined the yacht club. In 1983, he was selected as a member of the Los Angeles Olympic team for the 470-class yacht, but was unsuccessful. His experiences at the time have led him to his current desire to "win first place someday." He initially aimed to become an athlete, but after learning the harsh reality of the family business of liquor stores at the time, he joined Sapporo Beer Co., Ltd. Three years later, he returned to his parents' home and transformed the family business, which at the time was mainly delivering alcohol for home use, into the current business model of IMADEYA. He now travels around the country to revitalize Japan's sake culture, and exports as part of a global outreach. In his private life, he is also active in surfing, golf, and backcountry skiing.
Managing Director Azusa Ogura
Born in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo in 1965. She is the eldest daughter of parents who run a children's toy wholesale business in Asakusa. She was active from an early age, and her 10 years of experience at Labo Party, an activity centered on international exchange and language, had a great influence on her various activities in the future. After graduating from high school, she went to the U.S. to study abroad. A few years later, he returned to Japan midway through his studies due to family circumstances, and found employment at a yacht import and sales company, where he learned about management in general. In 1990, he launched IMADEYA's wine division, which had almost zero sales at the time, and now his life's work is to grow the Japanese wine industry in particular. He has no particular hobbies, but enjoys eating, drinking, reading, dressing in kimono, and most of all, spending time thinking about IMADEYA.
Director Ryota Koyama
Born in 1977 in Yono City (now Saitama City), Saitama Prefecture. Rather than being passionate about something in particular, he spent his childhood exploring where to expend his innate energy while learning many lessons and participating in various club activities. The turning point came in his early twenties, when he drank a fruity California wine made from Chardonnay grapes. He had never been able to finish a can of beer before, but after that day, he was hooked on wine to the extent that it changed his life. He also met a senior colleague at a liquor store where he worked, who allowed him to try expensive wines that he would never have had the chance to taste, and this was one of the reasons he pursued the depth of wine even further. He is now working hard not only with wine producers but also with various sake producers to create a healthy distribution system, and in his private time, he enjoys surfing and jogging at his beach side home.
Outside Director Yuichiro Kojima
Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1983. Influenced by his father, a trading company owner, he spent his childhood in Iran and Malaysia, but returned to Japan without learning English. He spent his junior and senior high school years in Ofuna and Zushi, and went on to Rikkyo University. He joined a band club and began to look at the world from a different angle. After graduation, he joined Dentsu, an advertising company. As a sales representative, he was in charge of retail and distribution companies, and was nicknamed the "POP STAR" because of his daily POP production work. While there, he won a prize in a competition he entered and became a planner. He later published a book, "I Tried Job Hunting in the Advertising Way," and won a German design award for business development and product development in an in-house venture. Currently, he participates in the management of IMADEYA as an outside director. His hobby is writing proposals.
Director Yoshiko Komiya
Born in 1976 in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. Although born in Akita Prefecture, famous for sake, pursued a career in industries unrelated to alcohol, such as hairdressing and the automotive industry. After marriage, moved to Chiba inspired by her husband's hobby of surfing and joined a company as a part-timer in 2004. Shocked by the deliciousness of the sake she drank after joining, she became deeply involved in the alcohol industry and was hired as a full-time employee within three months. At that time, she oversaw the shipping department of the newly established logistics team, building a distribution network to deliver sake to distant restaurants. Later, she was appointed as the leader of the Human Resources and General Affairs Department, becoming a key figure supporting the foundation of IMADEYA for many years. In 2024, she was appointed as an executive overseeing the entire logistics headquarters. One of her hobbies is camping. She values the time spent enjoying drinks with family and friends in nature, traveling to campsites around the Kanto area in her beloved car.
