Quoted from ZoraShinoda:

He is not moving on price much at all. If you go ALL the way to end on his link, it takes a while to scroll, he has this:
"Perhaps it may never sell, and I guess that’s ok with me deep down, but I hope there is at least a few of you out there that appreciate what the Cyclone represents, a great machine, made at the crossroads of simplicity, and just before the next generation of complicated mechanicals, multiballs, etc. This is such a basic, yet pleasurable machine to pick up and just play, without all the headaches of modern pinball.
I hope the asking price (NO TRADES PLEASE) seems understandable to another collector, knowing there were seemingly innumerable hours put into this. It might honestly take some time to find its new home, and that’s again okay with me, I really just want to know someone out there truly respects all the effort and it goes into a solid collection"
If you don't like his price you must not respect all the effort... lol
He added an extremely long "addendum" which basically tells you how long and much it would cost you to do this yourself.... basically walls of text justifying his price... but don't worry, deep down he is ok if it doesn't sell.

Cyclone is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better. I think you're nuts.

Does that make Hurricane with its two ferris wheels and way more balanced scoring than Cyclone top of the line then?

Now you’re really crackin up.

Quoted from Bmanpin:

I think he's 10k too high.

This may actually be a brilliant ploy to get someone to pay $5k for a questionably restored Cyclone and feel like they stole it.

Quoted from Garrett:

Not sure how a $2500 playfield swap morphs into a $14,950 asking price.

I will do any solid state playfield swap for 1600. Hit me up

I never heard, is this still available?

I don't think I've ever had a game where the lockdown receiver was painted. That's wild.

This is a common thing?

I never care how nasty they are - and they are usually quite nasty at this age - but fully restored you'd expect it to shine.

Comparison to another system 11 pin. One also more desirable than a cyclone.

This is a whirlwind, new pf, new cab restore, new ramps, etc. Looks about the same level of restoration. $6,500.00 OBO.

Nice work! This will convince him.

I like to polish the lockdown receiver and put fresh decals on it when I’m doing a resto.

As far as painting at rusty lockdown receiver without bothering to remove the rust first, it’s like when you go to a used car dealership and look inside the wheel wells. People are rattle can spray painting that area. Right over dirt and rust. Anywhere you can see. At first glance it makes the car look cleaner/newer than it is.

The seller of this “gem” has posted a most lovely wanted ad for a BoP 2.0. Most adamant about condition, a stern yet passive-aggressive statement has been made.

The irony of the two posts could set off a geiger counter.

Hysterical. The best requirement:

“Must be 98-99% mint both in terms of cabinet condition, mechanicals, and play”.

This man runs a tight ship. Has exquisite taste when it comes to selecting only the finest pinball has to offer.

#116 22 hours ago

I didn't tar and feather my 2.0 lockdown bar. Would that reduce my mint factor by 0.275% ?

I was ready to ship my game to him, and allow his professional team of highly trained professionals to delve deep into its condition. Darn!

This thread has become the new “Varkon barn find” thread.

I used to feel bad for this guy, thinking he got fleeced on his restore job.
Now, I hope he did.

#117 22 hours ago

I believe the guide states pretty clear lack of tarring and feathering only reduces the mechanicals portion of the grade by 0.176%. And has zero effect on condition and/or play.

Anyone got any of them bridges?

Yup! That's a fairly pretty whirlwind, and a reasonable asking price. Whirlwind is FAR more fun to play.
