Support For Anthony's Family

As some of you know, Anthony Blythe passed away on Saturday, January 11. He leaves behind his wife, Carrie, a 10-year-old son, Flynn, and a 3-year-old son, Jasper. They are all very dear to me, and so many others.

Carrie begins nursing school on Monday, after years of waiting to rise to the top of the waitlist. The family relies on Anthony's income, but now Carrie has to manage it on her own. On top of that, she now has to add end-of-life expenses to her mountain of stress.

Anthony truly was a good father and husband, and an incredible friend. In my darkest times, I could rely on him to remind me how much he and his family love me. I would do anything to support them. I hope we can honor Anthony by taking care of his family in his absence and easing their financial burden a little.

I am stunned and so so grateful to see this outpouring of support for Carrie, Flynn, and Jasper. You have all made it possible for Carrie to continue with nursing school while taking care of her boys’ needs. Thank you for easing that financial worry for her.

    I lost my father in an accident when I was ten years old as well. I miss him every single day. I live a happy life now, not in spite of his absence, but because he was there when I was young. My life was overlapped with his too briefly, but the memory of his warmth remains in me and finds purchase in those I love. Carrie, Flynn, and Jasper: it is worth it. The next few years will be very hard, but I promise you, it is worth it.
