Jenkins, a consultant, didn't have to go out since she can work from home, but decided to get started before a friend comes with a snow blower to do most of her driveway. MIDDLETOWN 02/09/17 Kyle Schmidt, of Cromwell, brushes snow off his car in the parking lot of Ace Hardware in Middletown during Thursday's snowstorm. Schmidt, an assistant manager at the store, went to work at 7:30 a.m. when there was a rush on snow-related items. By 9:30, after about five inches had fallen, Schmidt decided to head home. "I have a seven-mile drive and I don't want to get stuck," he said.
