Haji Masood Ur Rehman the chief Executive has been involved in business activities of production of sugar from cane and beet. Products of the factories were engaging in exports when demand at the time in the world market was encouraging. In the year 1965 and onward he established a business entity in the name of Saleem group of industries (SGI) mainly dealing in tobacco.

In the virtue of the combine efforts SGI enhanced their business and introduce other products and industries such as sugar beet, flour mill, leather tanneries, matchsticks, tobacco farms, fish farms and general farming, in the national markets of the country. Masood ur Rehman contributed to his level best to increase the government exchequer in shape of tax contributions which became a leadership symbol and encouragement in the local community. From the year 1974 onwards, he became a leading and recognized businessman across the country.
