It´s pokedex entry says that it created the universe with its 1,000 arms, so I think that this weird thing maybe extends itself to make the 1,000 arms.

No its described in mythology to have shaped the universe with 1000 arms. I think that early humans were supusticious (sp?) and just gave that ring thing the name of '1000 arms' if you get what I mean. So it was just seen that way long ago but it isn't actually 1000 arms.

It must be really hard getting through doors. Maybe that is why it's an event to see him!

My guess is that it's a symbol from a religion or myth that PROBABLY means something along the lines of 'creation' or 'beginning', seeing how a lot of pokemon are based around real life myth and religion of all sorts. Just my guess.

Higurashi is a very good anime series....w8, we're on the wrong forums!!!....oh well, it does explain something about time and space...and yes, i really think the four green orbs in arceus' arc are as follows: time, space, reverse and origin, remember how the movie arceus used to have four special moves?...roar of time=time, spacial rend=space, shadow force=reverse, judgement=origin...

It probably represents the origin of Pokemon in some spacial way. Probably in some Poke-history books in Canalave City...

Or it just stores it's powers. :/ Who knows? It could just be a part of it's body that the designers decided to put in there to make it look more "mysterious" and "legendary" to appeal to kids. ^^
