Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.

History is littered with hundreds of conflicts over the future of a community, group, location or business that were "resolved" when one of the parties stepped ahead and destroyed what was there. With the original point of contention destroyed, the debates would fall to the wayside. Archive Team believes that by duplicated condemned data, the conversation and debate can continue, as well as the richness and insight gained by keeping the materials. Our projects have ranged in size from a single volunteer downloading the data to a small-but-critical site, to over 100 volunteers stepping forward to acquire terabytes of user-created data to save for future generations.

The main site for Archive Team is at archiveteam.org and contains up to the date information on various projects, manifestos, plans and walkthroughs.

This collection contains the output of many Archive Team projects, both ongoing and completed. Thanks to the generous providing of disk space by the Internet Archive, multi-terabyte datasets can be made available, as well as in use by the Wayback Machine, providing a path back to lost websites and work.

Our collection has grown to the point of having sub-collections for the type of data we acquire. If you are seeking to browse the contents of these collections, the Wayback Machine is the best first stop. Otherwise, you are free to dig into the stacks to see what you may find.

The Archive Team Panic Downloads are full pulldowns of currently extant websites, meant to serve as emergency backups for needed sites that are in danger of closing, or which will be missed dearly if suddenly lost due to hard drive crashes or server failures.

Desu Archive compiles and archives threads from 4chan’s best boards. What’s the worst part about browsing 4chan? Okay, maybe that was a tough question. There are loads of shitty things about browsing this cesspool of a forum. It’s full of incels who wouldn’t know how to get a girl in bed if she was right there begging for cock. There’s an ever-increasing number of trap and femboy threads for some fucking reason. I swear, these fucks get so politically charged that they wrap all of the way back around the spectrum and become LBGT themselves. But, hey, I am not here to judge. Fuck whatever hole you want, I don’t give a shit. But, to answer my own question, the worst part about 4chan is that the threads aren’t archived for very long and are even purged by moderators at random.

That awesome thread of hot WEBMs of sluts getting face-fucked could disappear at any moment. It can even happen to you mid-fap. Nobody wants to be left with their limp dick in hand like that. And that’s where Desuarchive.org comes in. This robust site archives threads from 4chan’s most popular boards so that you can come back and view them later on. It’s a massive archive with thousands of great threads full of hot content. This site has been around since late 2016 and currently brings in well over 1.5 million views a month. That’s not too bad for a simple archive site like this.

Simple, Straightforward Site Design with No Ad Clutter

When I say simple, I fucking mean it. This site is about as simple and straightforward as it gets. The site has a dark theme and a list of archived boards, a donate button, and a search bar for skimming through content. That’s it. There aren’t any flash banners, logos, menus, headers, or any of that shit. This site aims to make the user experience as streamlined as possible, and it’s already off to a damn good start.

It helps that there aren’t any ads on this site to be seen. No redirects. No pop-ups. No flashing banners next to everything. I was honestly expecting this site to have a fuck ton of ads, as I’ve browsed similar archive sites in the past that hammer that shit home at every chance. So, it was a nice breath of fresh air to have a website that didn’t try to fuck you over with ad after ad. If you’re curious about how this shit works, they’ve got a handy FAQ page. But, basically, this site uses a scraper that pulls content from the boards listed and automatically archives them here.

A 4chan Archive Site with Content from the Most Popular Boards

The site also has two of its own boards /desu/ and /meta/ for site discussions and that sort of thing. There are all sorts of threads on the /meta/ board, while the /desu/ one mainly houses site updates and all of that good stuff. As for 4chan boards, they’ve got most of them. You can find SFW boards like /g/, /k/, /mu/, and /c/ on here. Don’t you horny bastards worry, your favorite NSFW boards are on here as well. You can browse through fap-worthy videos on /gif/, circle jerk about dumb shit on /b/, and browse through images of animated whores getting fucked by tentacles over on /d/.

Click on any board to open up a fuck ton of search tools, options, and features. Hot damn, this Desuarchive pulls out all of the stops here. You can click on the search bar up in the top right of the page to get an idea of what I’m talking about. You can search by thread number, usernames, thread subject, filenames from the threads, date posted, and all of that is just the beginning.

Incredibly Robust Search Tools that Make Finding Exact Threads Easy

You can sort by specific posts from different types of users or even threads that have been deleted. Hell, you can even check multiple boards to cross-search as many as you want if you’re not sure where you saw it. It’s, hands down, one of the best 4chan archive search tools that I have ever fucking seen.

But the user-friendly options don’t stop there! You can browse whatever board you’re on the old-fashioned way by scrolling through the most recently archived threads. Alternatively, you can click on “gallery” to get a full page of image posts if you don’t feel like the text is particularly important to your fap quest. You can check out the stats for each board and see how many posts are being made and archived per hour if you’re the sort of nerd who likes data.

Download and Browse Hot Content Dating Back to 2016!

Browsing content on Desuarchive is fairly simple. You can click on a thread to expand it and view the content just as you would on any actual 4chan thread. But you won’t be able to add to it or leave comments since the thread is archived. You’ll see every reply that was left, and you’ll be able to open up most images and files as usual. Sometimes, you’ll get a notice that the content was taken down or run into a 404 page, but those instances are relatively rare. I was able to find content dating back as far as 2016 that was still available for download.

The mobile site was much the same experience as the desktop version; only it was formatted best for mobile use. The threads feel about the same as they do on 4chan, with preview images and such taking up the entire screen. You can still make use of all of those great search features and tools that you could on the desktop site as well. It’s easy enough to download content and keep the fap sesh going from the comfort of your bed or wherever the fuck it is you are.

This site takes me back. No, literally, it takes me back. You fucks will be able to browse content that used to be on 4chan upwards of 5 years ago. Hot damn, that’s some ancient shit when it comes to that site. Trends come and go. Amateur sluts upload and then vanish. And all of it is at your fingertips. You can find hidden gems, popular threads, and legendary posts that would have usually been lost to time. There are thousands, if not millions, of threads here for you sex-starved cucks to search through.

Normally, navigating an archive like this would be a major pain in the ass. Not with this site. It has never been easier to find specific threads, files, users, and posts from 4chan. You can make use of some of the best filter and search tools that I have ever seen from an archive site like this. Plus, there won’t be any ads to get in your way either. This whole site has an outstanding user experience that sets it above the other options out there.

I want to see a few more boards. Come on, give us the hot amateur content from /soc/. I don’t care if I have to wade through hundreds of dumb fucking dick rate threads to get my hands on some long-forgotten /soc/ camwhore content. Every once in a while, a hottie will grace that board only to vanish forever. I know that I’m not the only one who would like to be able to go back and see those threads again. Other than that, this site fucking kills it. I don’t have any other gripes about it at all. I know, I know, it’s not often that a site is this fucking good. But, hey, you have to strike gold every once in a while, right?
