On the source CD-ROM, these files are located in the directorySTICK/SOUND/, and all files except the first thirteen (Paint.MP3 S00.MP3 S000.MP3 S01.MP3 S02.MP3 S03.MP3 S04.MP3 S05.MP3 S06.MP3 S07.MP3 S09.MP3 S010.MP3 S011.MP3) have a "hidden" attribute on the source CD-ROM's file system, meaning some file managers and CD/DVD players do not list them, though it makes no difference for this archival.Two additional files were located in the directory. These are
S433.WAV, which is the same music and speech as in S433.MP3 (not sure about the purpose of the duplicate), and a seemingly pointless blank file named DESCRIPT.ION.Descriptions for some individual files, referred to using wildcards and may be expanded later:
- S170.MP3, S17001.MP3: About the human eye
- S1700.MP3: Story of colours and seasons
- S3??.MP3: English alphabet
- S5??.MP3: Numbers in English
- S6??.MP3: Numbers in Persian
- S71*.MP3: Animals (Apparently, the files S710??.MP3 were intended to be named S71??.MP3 for consistency with the above, but whoever authored the CD-ROM master did not pay attention here.)
- S810.MP3: Soundtrack used in the S3??.MP3 and S9*.MP3 files, but in much higher fidelity.
- S85???.MP3: Eight Persian childrens' songs: "Autumn", "Children of the days" (rough translation), "Pretty doll", "Atal-matal-too-too-leh" (fictional character), "Golden chicken", "Book", "Sunflow", "Don't drown with me" (apparent metaphor).
- S86???.MP3: Seven English childrens' songs: "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes", "The Wheels on the Bus", "A happy hippo holiday", "Old McDonald has a farm", "The Dragosaurus Chorus", "Baa-baa-black sheep", "This is the way you…".
- S870.MP3: Instrumental melody of "row your boat" with xylophone and metallophone and strings for sleep ambience.
- S880.MP3: Identical, except with slightly added silence at the beginning, not sure for what purpose.
- S891.MP3: Melody of "baa-baa-black sheep" using same instruments as S870.MP3 and without vocals like in S86106.MP3.
- S9121.MP3 S912?.MP3 S9110?.MP3: Learning shapes and drawing
The meaning of the file names' enumeration scheme is unknown.
These files are mixed from the 2004 and the revised 2005 edition of the "Golhaye Behesht" CD-ROM. The 2004 CD-ROM is somewhat damaged, so when I upload its full disc image, the log file generated by
ddrescue which lists damaged sectors will be attached as well. It will be a separate item from this one, since disk images can not be streamed from in the archive's theatre view. Also, despite of same content, the files' date and time stamps somewhat vary within the same day between the CD-ROMs. The four files S830?.MP3 are missing from the 2005 revision, meaning it only has 187 MP3 files.
