Pictures got deleted on their own.
I have no idea why Photos would delete pictures on its own. This seems like a horrific bug.

Just a few volunteers which can not help with such hopeless situations.
See Can't find your photos? on top of this forumsite.
Sorry - can do no more.

Thanks for posting in the Google Photos Support Community.
I understand and I'm be happy to help you further. Please give the below steps a try in a sequence to help resolve the issue:
- Check your internet connection (mobile data).
- Close the Google Photos app and re-launch it.
- Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos with the same Google Account.
- Clear App data:
- Open your device's Settings app (not the Google Settings app).
- Touch Apps.
- Select Google Photos in the list.
- Touch Clear data.
- Update the Google Photos app on your Android phone:
- Visit the Google Play Store.
- Open Google Photos.
- Touch on Update.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Amanda

I have same issues regarding photos and videos. There are some videos i took from honeymoon and all of them are just gone without any notification. I'm willing to sue Google if something isn't done. I don't think this is a small problem. What's going on??

All I did was create a new album, upload the photos from my phone into those new albums, and the next day or a couple of hours those photos were gone. it is not in the trash or anything just poof disappeared.
